Today, two million Arabs had the right to vote in a free and fair election in the Middle East. In a region where that freedom is nonexistent, only one country guarantees it: Israel.

I have spoken out against anti-Muslim hate in the Michigan Senate race. I will speak out just as loudly when the target is Jewish people.
Let me state a little-known fact: ISRAEL GETS LESS THAN 0.1 PERCENT OF THE FEDERAL BUDGET. That’s less than one tenth of a percent!
But there is an ad running that tells voters they can’t afford groceries because the United States gives so much money to Israel. In reality, the United States spends money in and on countries all around the world – but this ad singles out the Jewish state. The ad is as dangerous as it is dishonest.
You can disagree with how the United States spends money abroad. But telling hungry families that the Jewish state is the reason they are suffering is wrong and shameful.
Blaming Jews for people’s problems is an old story. Anybody who has read the last century of history knows where it leads. It is a dark pathway.
This ad is anti-Jewish hate and should come down immediately. Abdul El-Sayed should denounce it today.

Correct @BarakRavid & I should have stated it that way! 10 million ppl in @Israel 8m Jews, 2m Arabs. ALL are Israeli citizens-Jew, Muslim, or Christian. All vote, serve in IDF, in Knesset, & proudly have Israeli passports. Women equal to men. All have free speech.

My values, my identity and my community are far more important to me than any individual election result. Regardless, it’s widely understood that I lost in my particular district for the same reasons this ad is repugnant, blatantly false, and incites even more violence against Jews.
And sadly, you consistently add fuel to this slanderous and anti-Jewish fire.

Today is election day in Israel, which is a national holiday. All voting is in person, ID required. No mail-in or absentee ballots. Arabs vote same as Israelis. Contentious process, but it's a democracy-not many of those in this region!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The Arab voters are Israeli citizens. Listing them in contrast to Israelis is misconstruing the facts.

Today, Israel goes to the polls.
As with every election, it is a day of ideas and ideologies, of debate and last-minute efforts to persuade voters.
Above all, it is a day for Israel’s citizens to exercise their democratic freedom and choose their country’s leadership.
Jews and Arabs, Muslims, Christians, Druze, Circassians and Bahá’ís will go to the polls and vote as they wish.
This is the beauty of Israeli democracy.
In two days, Israelis will go to the polls once again. It is a process we know well: we have held five general elections in the past ten years.
Yet familiarity does not diminish the importance of this moment. Every election is an opportunity for our citizens to make their voices heard and determine the country’s future.
Throughout Israel’s history, we have faced extraordinary challenges. The past few years have tested us profoundly. Through it all, our democratic process remains a powerful expression of our resilience, our diversity and our determination to shape our own destiny.
To those following these elections in the UK, thank you for your interest in our democracy. It is spirited, fiercely debated and sometimes complicated. It is also something magnificent, and something we Israelis are deeply proud of.

The UN harbors a moral fugitive who spews hatred for America, the West, Jews, and Israel. Francesca Albanese is institutional poison, doing grave damage to the UN, and tarnishing the work of brave UN personnel who risk their lives to feed the starving and keep the peace.
I know it. You know it. All that remains is to do something about it. Start by saying publicly what you say privately: Albanese must go. @AmbUNReform

Some serious economic misinformation to go with the antisemitism in this ad that blames Israel for the rising price of American eggs, bananas, healthcare
- it falsely links American families’ grocery bills and healthcare costs to U.S. aid to Israel.
- Aid to Israel is approximately 0.05% of federal spending
- Most American military assistance to Israel goes to buy goods and services from U.S. defense contractors.
- U.S. assistance is overwhelmingly military, not a direct subsidy for Israeli healthcare
- most American bananas come from Guatemala, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Honduras and prices are rising because of El Niño.
Simple question: Does he agree or disagree with the message?
El-Sayed campaign statement: "This ad is not affiliated in any way with the Abdul for Senate campaign. Abdul is focused on pushing back against Trump’s agenda that is raising prices for Michiganders. No one speaks for Abdul but himself and his campaign." #MISEN
