Vitalik takes the Devcon stage next week for a mainnet demo of Ethereum's privacy wallet.
The demo runs on @ambire, while $WALLET sits at an $11M market cap.
Kohaku is the EF's push to make private sends a default wallet feature. Its reference wallet is a fork of Ambire's code.
Most of CT is on @Rabby_io (or maybe even still MetaMask lol). There is a good good reason for that too tho: more chains, more hardware, perps in the wallet.
Ambire is more built for where accounts are heading in the future imo. Smart accounts by default, gas paid in USDC, a swap and its approval signed in one.
The token has a real job too. Swap fees fund $WALLET buybacks and burns, and top stakers swap for free.
Private sends are still in testing, and I'm not trying to convince you to buy the token (I'm not in either rn).
But still, an $11M token under the EF's privacy wallet, six days before the demo, is worth having a look at.
Breakdown in the attached visual cards.
NFA tho. DYOR.

Not just shielding.
Not just private sends.
Not just private swaps.
Private everything.

I keep an eye on your ENS names for you 💜

NEW: Get notified about expiring or expired @ensdomains names.
Ambire prompts you to renew the domain with a direct link.
ENS receiving address changed? You'll see a warning before you send.

NEW: Ambire informs you if an @ensdomains receiving address has changed since you last sent funds to it.
This notification prevents you from sending funds to a potentially undesired address.
Good swap vs. great swap: the talk is live now 🐮

so I'm going to tell you a secret
our team actually cares an absurd amount about building private money without backdoors
if that means we have to keep out the terrorists, so we can have privacy for the good guys, so be it
we're cypherpunks, not anarchists 🫡

Sad but this could not happen in Ambire. Stay protected from address poisioning.

Replying to @walletbeat
Note, Ambire actually verifies L1 balances and ENS through the Colibri light client (opt-in for now).
Simulations aren't covered yet. But still, I think its fair to way we partially support chain verification.
So I made another PR, please treat it as a proposal. It addresses wallets like us that sit in between - have a real light client, but it is opt-in or only verifies some of the data.
I tried to keep the criteria wallet-neutral and to describe Ambire's limitations explicitly. Happy to adjust the thresholds or naming if you'd rather model coverage differently 🙏

I'm heading to my first Solana event so it's time for a London Breakpoint roll call:
who am I seeing there?
P.S. May or may not have exclusive @ambire mobile unlock codes to give out IRL...

let's chat about extension & mobile combo for managing Safe accounts
requesting a transaction on one platform will automatically broadcast it to the other, including into SafeGlobal thanks to Safe API
this makes it easy to complete signing tx on two separate platforms AND crosscheck clear signing & tx simulation on two (or three, including SafeGlobal) separate platforms which is great for security
this also works if your Safe acc is imported in view-only mode
Safe tx clear signing on hardware devices is work in progress. try it out and let us know how we can improve it further.
