My rules of business: Build shit people want, never give up, avoid assholes, question assumptions, learn new ideas & always reward ambition
There are so many incredible American combat warriors that sacrificed nearly two decades of their life in uniform, but now are entering the business world and dominating their competition.
You love to see these men receiving financial rewards after prioritizing patriotism and honor for so long.

Volume 2 just came in @APompliano 👀
Excited to give this a read.
Thank you to @APompliano for one of the best books I have read to date.
So many nuggets and takeaways from this book.
How to live an extraordinary life.
10 out of 10.
Inspired me to start a Breast Cancer Charity annual golf tournament with all proceeds going to Vanderbilt Hospital + many more thoughts.
The older I get, the more I understand the importance of reading from others.
Different brilliant perspectives is key.

Jordi Visser says only 8 companies in the S&P 500 have potential returns that will be attractive going forward.
"@pmarca made this comment two years ago...everything in the S&P 500 is basically 492 are bonds and 8 of them are call options...which is exactly what I believe."
"Starting when AI took off, the 8 biggest companies became a mad race to dominate AI."
"Larry Page said...'I'll bankrupt this company in the race to AGI."
"Growth comes from a lack of government involvement. It comes from multiple expansion...we are starting to see the negatives from AI this year and it is only going to worsen from here."
"If you go to Europe, the stock market has done nothing since 2007. If you go through emerging markets, the stock market has done nothing. If you go through most of the world...20 year period where you get less than inflation."
"That has been happening if you are a loser to AI."
"All companies are going to be disrupted if they can't reinvent themselves."
This week @jvisserlabs breaks down the midterm blue wave and the market sell-off, why the S&P 500 may really be 492 bonds and 8 call options, and why bitcoin is positioned to beat public stocks.
We also discuss easing liquidity, the Elliott Wave setup for bitcoin, Iran and oil, gold, and hedge fund deleveraging.

Two days ago Anthropic tried to kill @cfosilvia.
The first day was one of our largest days for new users in months.
Yesterday was even bigger.
They can't kill a superior product that puts privacy and security at the foundation of the product.
Silvia misfits vs The World 🏴

Replying to @APompliano @cfosilvia
I've tried out @cfosilvia and the personal finance options with chatgpt, grok bot, and muse.
Silvia is by far the superior product and it's not even close.
Claude just tried to kill our company.
It didn’t work and @cfosilvia actually got more users.
Here is how we did it…
If you want to try Silvia for free, you can sign up in 2 minutes and see how powerful she is: silvia.com
i think @cfosilvia is better than the new @claudeai personal finance feature for one simple reason: the users
silvia’s user base is made up of sophisticated traders and investors.
these are people:
- who size positions
- track cost basis
- hedge w/ options
- live in the markets every day.
the model is being prompted nonstop by that type of user.
claude’s personal finance tool is mostly going to get questions like “where did my money go this month?” from regular people tracking rent and coffee (still not bad obviously, but not the point)
silvia gets the opposite:
- tax lots
- basis points
- portfolio rebalancing
- options greeks
- real-time questions from pp; who actually trade $BTC and other assets for a living.
when a model only sees that kind of input over and over, it gets sharper at the job.
Let me tell you a story about how unethical Anthropic is.
In April, the Anthropic team began heavily courting our engineering team to tell them corporate secrets, technical details, and future plans for @cfosilvia.
They pretended their interest was due to our exploding popularity and accelerating compute usage, but it quickly became apparent that Anthropic was fishing for details on how we built our product and why it was so popular.
This included the Anthropic team trying to wine-and-dine our engineers, including a infamous steak dinner where someone told our team "don't worry about it, this is on Dario."
Our team was not born yesterday, so we quickly realized what was happening and refused to share sensitive information and technical details with the Anthropic team.
As we suspected, Anthropic was trying to get information from us, so they could build a competing product. Some people on their team must have a guilty conscious because they messaged us a few days ago to give us "a heads-up" that they were launching a competing product.
Thankfully, the Silvia engineering team has been aggressively working to get off the frontier models for the last ~ 6 months. That effort has been highly successful, because our compute costs are ~ 97% lower when we use our own model & hardware, the latency is lower, and the accuracy of answers materially increases as well.
The sad thing for Anthropic is they have now released an inferior product and they had to sell their soul to do it.
The only thing worse than being a trillion-dollar company that can't beat a 10-person team is being a trillion-dollar company that no one trusts and everyone knows is unethical.
Serious investors continue to choose @cfosilvia over ChatGPT, Claude, and other frontier companies because these products are not optimized to solve the actual user problem.
Today, Anthropic launched a Claude wrapper that is masquerading as a personal finance product. Best of luck to them.
But I will take the Silvia misfits vs the Anthropic losers any day of the week.

If people think Anthropic’s Claude wrapper they released yesterday was going to kill @cfosilvia, I have bad news…
Yesterday was one of our largest days for new users in months.
People don’t want AI wrappers, they want a product that is private, secure, and accurate.
Vertical-specific AI will beat general models.
I asked @cfosilvia if Claude's new personal finance product could beat Silvia.
This was the response.
Try Silvia: silvia.com
It may seem impossible for a small group of misfits to beat the large bullies, but never count @cfosilvia out.
We are betting that vertical-specialized AI will outperform the large, general models.
We believe personal finance products should be private and secure. No one wants Dario knowing what they own.
Silvia encrypts your personally-identifiable information and anonymizes it away from your portfolio. We are also SOC 2 certified and own our own intelligence.
If you are a misfit in the legacy financial system, sign up for Silvia and start using AI to better manage your household finances: silvia.com
