Anyone know what this tree is. Found near the top of the Cape York Peninsula, Queensland. I suspected Sapindaceae but can't find anything it fits. Tree - broad leaves, fruit with wings (like a Dodonaea), 5 carpels.
I am sure we can all relate #ebird #iNaturalist #birdwatchers - in Kutini-Payamu (Iron Range) National Park, Queensland
In two weeks I will be giving a talk at #TDWG2022 in Sofia on formulaic or phrase names for known undescribed species and the need for such names in #iNaturlist. We have also established an iNaturalist project for undescribed new species phrase names.
Another new bird for me - the beautiful Olive-Backed Sunbird - at the Wujal Wujal Falls near Bloomfield , Queensland. Added to #iNaturalist
A new bird for me - Macleay's Honeyeater (Xanthotis macleayanus) at the #KingfisherBirdWatchers Lodge, #Julatten, Queensdland
