The new Ocarina of Time was ported to PC and iPhone almost overnight using AI. GTA 6 is supposed to be console-only at launch, with a PC version months away. I’d be shocked if someone doesn’t have it running on PC within 24 hours. Hard to see how hardware exclusivity survives AI.

37 episodes in and we finally had our first guest! Bing Gordon (@bingfish), EA co-founder and legendary games investor. A real treat to hear Mitch & Bing draw on decades of shared history to unpack the games business, gamification, and where the industry is headed.
The legendary Bing Gordon (@bingfish) joined us for a special bonus episode on the games business, gamification, AI, and his new book: Everybody Wins. Few people have shaped the games industry as profoundly as Bing. This wide-ranging conversation was a special one.

Today’s ticketing systems weren’t built for agents. Over the past 3 months, we’ve been building a new product at Parahelp to solve this: Infrastructure purpose-built for your agents (like Claude, Grok Bot, or one built in-house) and team to resolve support tickets together.

Random thoughts: - i want to meet the person who was undecided until their 47th unsolicited political text. - whoever invented daylight saving time definitely didn’t have toddlers.

Weekend hack: HackerTube. I was annoyed with YouTube's recommendations so I had Claude filter down 43M comments over 20 years of HN to 6,454 videos that keep being recommended. *Significantly* better viewing experience, ~2 hours with Opus 5.5: hackertube.org/ - Excellent recs without any logins (state is kept in local browser session) - Thumbnail is a representative frame from middle of the video instead of the super duper A/B test hyper-optimized user uploads - Underlying data from the comment analysis as one zip file, point your Claude at it and ask for your own version - HackerTube Longs ✊ A bit more on the process: I use Claude Code (desktop app for Mac), Opus 5.5 on Medium effort as my default. I only talk to Claude and have it do everything, the only "manual work" I helped with in tandem was in the browser (reminiscent of MenuGen): 1) I had to create some kind of API key from Google Cloud UI to query YouTube for video metadata, 2) I booted up a VPS box for serving and 3) I bought the domain name. Once the box was up I gave Claude the IP and told it update, secure, harden, deploy and optimize the code, and it did the whole thing. Many awesome projects that would have normally taken weeks/months even can now be few-shotted for breakfast. What else are we not thinking of.

one of my favorite things about new hardware is watching developers invent games that couldn’t exist before. someone needs to make a Golden Tee for the Duo

Hello World 👋 Ultra Security is out of stealth with $10M in seed funding to secure autonomous systems. Ultra puts enforceable boundaries around autonomous systems without slowing down the work they're built to do. We've built guardrails, governance, observability, and anomaly detection in one platform. Agents aren't predictable. Security should be.

why isn’t anyone teaching nursing home residents how to play WoW? daily routine, a guild where everyone knows your name, something to look forward to every night. it feels like it would make those years a lot better.

once you have kids, you realize this applies to every aspect of childhood
It’s actually crazy how you grow up thinking home-cooked meals every day are just normal, then get older and realise how much time and effort it took your Mom to make that happen and how lucky you were to have that.

The games we've long wanted, which didn't exist because they'd cost several times more to make than they'd earn back, will soon become possible. As will the games developers wanted to build, but couldn't with the resources available. It'll be a new golden age of gaming.
