ALT We recommend investors consider a small "starter" position in FREQ. FREQ's FX-322 Phase 1 data, while only 6 patients, appears compelling (while it appears not 1 patient's hearing worsened). We now know a 90-day prequel will be available in Q1 2021 & the Phase 2A topline reads (96 patients) in Q2 2021. These will likely be major FREQ value inflection points. The Boston Biotech Investor offers written research reports & analysis (including narrated video presentations) on small(er) cap biotech companies (those with market caps of $200MM to $3.0Billion). Pro members to our service have complete access to our entire library of research reports and narrated video presentations...or non-members can buy a research report for $20 per company. We are unaware of any like service. Investors are provided an overview of each company, imminent milestones and/or value inflection points, capital structure, risk of dilution, cash runway & peak sales estimates.

ALT Investors interested in the small cap biotech space should consider our research reports & associated narrated video presentations on dozens of small cap biotech companies. The Boston Biotech Investor offers written research reports & analysis (including video presentations) on small(er) cap biotech companies (those with market caps of $200MM to $3.0Billion). Pro members to our service have complete access to all of our reports and video libraries or non-members can buy a research report for $20 per company. We also publish our own small cap biotech indexes (gene therapy, oncology, CNS etc). Our analysis concludes the traditional biotech indexes (NYSE ARCA Biotech and NASDAQ Biotech indexes), while great for multi-billion value biotechs & pharmaceutical companies, do not adequately reflect small(er) cap biotech stock trading nor performance.

ALT Watch our video to learn more about KALA Pharmaceutical's valuation potential if, a dozen times IF IF IF..., Eysuvis is approved by the FDA this week (PDUFA date is October 30, 2020). Investors should consider Novartis paid $3.4B+ for Xiidra just 1 year ago. Whether Eysuvis has the same sales potential is debatable but third-party professional analysts (not our opinion) predict they are more or less in the same ballpark. If KALA receives another CRL or if Eysuvis is rejected, KALA's share price could be in big trouble. However, with an enterprise valuation of $300MM and if Inveltys (FDA approved) peak sales estimates of $200MM/year are in the ballpark, there may be a floor on the longer-term downside. Investing in biotechnology is subject to regulatory risks. Even if KALA were to execute their business plan flawlessly, regulatory changes could make their shares worthless.

ALT If, 12+ times over IF IF IF IF..., FREQ's Phase 2A trial of 96 patients (24 on placebo) produces clinical results consistent with FREQ's Phase 1 trial, our analysis concludes FREQ would be materially undervalued at $22/share. If the data disappoints FREQ could be worthless. FREQ's Phase 2A reads Q2 2021. A soci.org article from 2018 (Issue 4) estimates the global hearing loss market = $750Billion/year. FX-322 would be the 1st treatment to "repair" hearing. The ave hearing aid costs ~$2,000 and roughly 20MM people suffer from moderate to severe hearing loss in the US. It is no wonder Astellas paid $80MM upfront in 7/2019 for ex-US rights. The attached schedule is a reconciliation of FREQ's market cap to enterprise valuation at various prices per share. Read our FX-322 peak sales estimate on our website. Hint: Since no one knows how the Phase 2A trial will read, we always say buy on the anticipation but sell before the "news."
