Where's your evidence this actually happened? Why did it take 2 months if they had it the whole time? How do they even have revenue after being broke, and blowing through the last round already?

We need to focus on people using their own full node. That failure is what allowed Spamcoin to drag so many people along with their scam, tricking them into thinking it's Bitcoin.

Insane… just got a call from a legitimate police number claiming my details were found on an apprehended criminal. Turns out it was a phishing scam trying to get info on any crypto holdings and services I use. This is fucked. How is anyone supposed to know what’s real anymore?

Spam hasn't ruined the base chain because we have good spam filters now, and spam is a slow death anyway. I didn't leave. You left.

In 2021, I became a full-time open-source developer. Today, I can finally say that Mostro is done. Of course, there's always room for improvement. We'll keep making it better adding exciting new features, but the hardest part is behind us. I think it's time for me to take a break before I burn out.

The Stratum endpoint is a failover, validation, and donation endpoint. I only make money currently from the stratum endpoint. So far it has worked out well. Long term I want to build other services on top of the pool which miners would want to purchase. A pool is a community of miners/nodes working together. I want to build cool tools to let nodes and miners work together more. A DATUM pool is just a trusted third party managing the coinbase, but who says that is all it needs to be? As an end user of a pool, I wouldn't want to have to pay a fee on MY work, just for accounting services and a nice website. I would want to pay for features, tools, helpful alerts and emails, lightning payouts, and other services that ADD value to a pool, not just the bare minimum required of a pool. We all hear 'mining pool' and we think of stratum pools. Let's forget about what pools have meant in the dark days of SHA-256. Lets build cool new ways for nodes/miners to work together, something that users would be happy to buy into. TED talk over.

It would've been easier to keep my mouth shut and avoid the inevitable 'shitcoiner' comments and insults. But why should I? What's the point of having principles if you only stand by them when it's convenient? I'm not going to pretend I feel differently just to keep people happy.

Do you realize the contradiction in what you’re saying? There are over 18,000 independent nodes and the top 1% control over 90% of economic activity. (conservatively!) Five exchanges handled 87.4% of measured trading activity for Sept 2026. The top three exchanges alone accounted for 70.3% of trading volume. Binance alone handled 44%. Three mining pools produce 2/3 of blocks in the last 7 days. One custodian handles approximately 84% of tracked US spot Bitcoin ETF custody…guess who?…it’s Coinbase! Corporate and institutional holdings are large even before counting exchange customers…about 18% of the max. supply of BTC. If power is concentrated in the hands of the same institutions Bitcoin was designed to make unnecessary, what exactly did we decentralize? And if the economic majority determines Bitcoin's future, how is it different than fiat? You gave away the ONLY power you had. You can’t get it back. You can’t “vote” your way out of tyranny.
