Back at Arrocha Ballpark for the final game of the series between @KUSoftball and Utah State. Jayhawks took both games yesterday and are looking to finish off the sweep today. I will have the call for @KJHKsports. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Made it to Arrocha Ballpark for @KUSoftball home opener against Utah State. It will be a doubleheader against the Aggies. First pitch was scheduled for 1 p.m. but the game was just put into a lightning delay. I will have the call for @KJHKsports when the game does get underway.

Kansas softball opened its 2026 season with dominating wins in Tampa, Florida. My latest for @KansanSports on the doubleheader sweep for the Jayhawks.

Kansas tries to lateral all over the field and actually gets to Cincinnati's 30-yard line but they couldn't hang on to the ball after that. A heartbreaker for the Jayhawks. They fall to 3-2 on the season. Kansas heads to Orlando to take on UCF next week.
KU 34 - Cincy 37 - Final
Before the final play, Cincinnati calls a timeout. Kansas still at their own 29-yard line.
KU 34 - Cincy 37 - 0:06 4th
Daniels missed Kubecka over the middle. Final play of the game coming up. 4th and 10.
KU 34 - Cincy 37 - 0:06 4th
Daniels takes another eight seconds off the clock trying to escape. 3rd and 10.
KU 34 - Cincy 37 - 0:11 4th
Daniels takes a sack, which was the last thing you could do if you were Kansas. Jayhawks are forced to call their final timeout.
KU 34 - Cincy 37 - 0:19 4th
Henderson returns it to around the 25-yard line. Kansas will have 27 seconds to try to tie things up and force overtime.
KU 34 - Cincy 37 - 0:27 4th
Tawee Walker walks in the endzone and Cincinnati leads. Kansas will have one timeout and about 29 seconds to answer.
KU 34 - Cincy 37 - 0:29 4th
Go back to how big this moment is now. Kansas had two defenders get their hands on it and they couldn't bring it.
