BREAKING: Budget 2026 leaves pro-life pregnancy centres untouched - Press Release OTTAWA – In the wake of pressure from life-affirming groups, Campaign Life Coalition (CLC) is happy to see the federal government’s decision not to follow the recommendation of Canada’s abortion lobby to penalize pro-life pregnancy care centres in Budget 2026 (“Masters of Our Destiny”), tabled this afternoon. Budget Recommendation 65, submitted by the Abortion Rights Coalition of Canada and adopted by the House of Commons Finance Committee in its September 22 report, called for amendments to the Income Tax Act requiring greater transparency from so-called “anti-abortion pregnancy centres” in order to “mitigate harm to clients and prevent the misuse of charitable status.” “We thank God,” said CLC’s National President Jeff Gunnarson. “This is welcome news for the thousands of women and families who rely on pregnancy care centres across Canada.” Gunnarson said that Recommendation 65 was never about genuine transparency. “It was an ideologically motivated attempt to single out and burden pro-life charities simply because they offer women real alternatives to abortion—including material support, parenting resources, and adoption connections. We are pleased the government has chosen not to advance it.” Pregnancy care centres provide practical, non-coercive help to pregnant women in crisis. Last year alone, centres affiliated with Pregnancy Care Canada reported more than 54,000 client visits, including material assistance such as diapers, formula, and clothing for nearly 9,000 clients. These centres operate under established standards of care and disclose the scope of their services. Pete Baklinski, CLC’s Communications Director, pointed out that the recommendation did not treat pro-life pregnancy care centres as the community-building and life-affirming charities serving vulnerable women that they are, but as a problem to be regulated. “Recommendation 65 was simply slanderous and based on provable lies spread by the abortion lobby. Harm was simply assumed and misuse was treated as a given—with no finding of fact and no hearing.” “Campaign Life Coalition calls on future finance committees to reject recommendations from the abortion lobby intended to harm genuine charities that provide Canadian mothers and fathers the support they need,” Baklinski added.

Why is the Canadian organization Women on Web facilitating the sending of abortion pills to US women? How is this even allowed to happen? @LiveAction @nrlc @sbaprolife @StudentsforLife @March_for_Life @AUL @LiveActionNews @LifeNewsHQ @40daysforlife @FRCdc @LilaGraceRose @KristanHawkins
Canadian group linked to US woman jailed after live birth following abortion pills A U.S. woman is behind bars after obtaining abortion pills with the help of a Canadian-based organization and using them in an attempt to abort her baby in the second trimester—well beyond the pills’ recommended gestational limit. The baby, a boy, came out alive, but then died after the woman left him on a closet shelf. On December 21, 2025, Margaret Conant from Iowa obtained abortion pills with the help of Women on Web, a Canadian non-profit organization that describes itself as “facilitating online access to abortion pills.” The pills require a prescription in Iowa, a process that Conant decided to bypass because she was already some 26 weeks pregnant—far beyond the cut-off date of roughly 10 weeks that the abortion pill stipulates. Conant reached out to Women on Web and lied about her baby’s gestational age to obtain the pills. She took the abortion pills and delivered a living baby boy who was making sounds and “barely breathing,” according to the criminal complaint. Instead of calling for emergency help, Conant wrapped her newborn baby in a towel, put him into a bag, and placed him on a shelf in the closet—leaving him for dead. Two days later, she called the police to confess what she had done. Conant was charged with child endangerment causing the substantial risk of bodily injury and a prohibited act involving a prescription drug violation, reported Law&Crime on November 5, 2026. An American baby is dead. His mother is in jail. The pills that set this sequence in motion came through a Canadian organization that accepted her word about how far along she was. They continue to ship pills, uninterrupted. Photo of Margaret Conant: Linn County Jail

We are grateful for Canada's pro-life heroes who refuse to back down in the face of unjust laws. Among these are Mary Wagner, Linda Gibbons, and Father Tony Van Hee. May God bless them for their witness to life.
This is Jocelynn Rodrigues. She was recently ticketed in Alberta for engaging in pro-life sidewalk ministry outside an abortion centre. Her crime? She was engaging in “interference” within a restricted access zone. If convicted, Jocelynn could face a fine of up to $5,000, imprisonment for up to six months, or both. Jocelynn believes that the current law, implemented by the Alberta NDP government in 2018, restricts peaceful conversations and the sharing of information, activities protected by freedom of expression under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (section 2(b)). Her case is now being taken up by the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedom Justice Centre-funded lawyer Elsa Michel called the bubble zone law “egregious” and a violation of freedom of expression. Women like Ms. Rodrigues are simply trying to provide information and pray peacefully outside abortion clinics, but this law puts them at risk of punishment for doing so,” said Ms. Michel. “The bubble zone law also infringes the Charter right of those seeking to access abortion services to receive offers of support or information related to abortion.” Jocelynn is scheduled to appear in court on December 8, at the Alberta Court of Justice. She is expected to enter a plea and have a trial date set. Please keep Jocelynn and her case in your prayers.

News of a Canadian baby saved by the pro-life demonstration Life Chain, organized by Campaign Life Coalition, is now making international news. Good news travels fast and far!
A father in Toronto drove past a peaceful Life Chain demonstration organised by @CampaignLife and decided to keep his baby. After days of arguing with his wife (who had already changed her mind after hearing the heartbeat), he saw parishioners standing silently with signs and praying. He went home and said: “Let’s have the baby.” This is the power of peaceful, public pro-life presence 🙏 Read the full article 👉 spuc.org.uk/unborn-child-sav…

🚨 DISTURBING: Canada's euthanasia laws allow people who are NOT dying to be killed. Many Canadians still believe that euthanasia (MAiD) is reserved for people who are terminally ill, with strict safeguards and waiting periods. Unfortunately, that is simply not the reality. In a sobering article, Alex Schadenberg of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition outlines just how far Canada's euthanasia regime has gone: ⚠️ People do not need to be terminally ill to qualify. ⚠️ Those whose natural death is reasonably foreseeable can be approved and killed on the same day. ⚠️ People can qualify even when they have a treatable medical condition, if they refuse recommended treatment. ⚠️ People with mental health concerns may qualify if they also have another qualifying medical condition. ⚠️ People who have previously been approved for euthanasia can be killed even after losing the capacity to consent. As Schadenberg points out, if euthanasia were restricted to the terminally ill, with meaningful waiting periods and stronger safeguards, there would be fewer deaths. This is not compassionate healthcare. It is a system that has moved far beyond its original promises, putting some of Canada's most vulnerable people at risk. Canadians deserve to know what our euthanasia laws actually permit. We must demand better protection for those who are sick, disabled, elderly, and vulnerable. 💔 Every human life has inherent dignity and value. No one should be made to feel that death is their best or only option. tinyurl.com/8pj6ewj9

Notice how this Canadian doctor doesn't even mention pain or suffering when pitching euthanasia as the ideal way to die. It's framed as a solution for loneliness and anxiety. But people who are lonely and afraid deserve love and care, not hastened death.

Praise God for the GOOD NEWS of a life saved from abortion.
“Let’s have the baby”: Toronto dad changes mind after driving past Life Chain A Canadian Catholic priest has shared the good news that a baby was saved from abortion after the baby’s father encountered a Life Chain demonstration. Fr. Brenton Cordeiro, pastor of St. Timothy’s in Toronto, said in a recent Facebook video that the parents were expecting a child and had planned to have an abortion. After hearing the baby’s heartbeat on ultrasound, the mother decided she could not go through with it. The father, however, continued to pressure her to proceed. “For days and maybe even over a week, they were fighting,” the priest related. “They were at odds with regards to this child and his future.” This year’s Life Chain took place on Sunday, October 4. The annual event sees thousands of pro-life advocates from across Canada gather in over 350 locations for an hour of prayer and peaceful public witness for the preborn whose lives have been erased by abortion. Participants stand at designated intersections, pray quietly, and hold signs with messages such as “Abortion Kills Children,” “Abortion Hurts Women,” and “Jesus Forgives and Heals.” Organized nationally by Campaign Life Coalition and locally by parishes and pro-life groups, the witness is meant to confront the reality of abortion—nearly five million preborn children lost in Canada since legalization in 1969—while inviting passersby to reconsider. Parishioners from St. Timothy’s held their own Life Chain that day at the nearby intersection of Don Mills and Sheppard. While they were there, the father of the preborn baby drove past, saw the signs, and watched some 160 participants praying to end abortion. Something the father saw must have moved his heart. He realized what he needed to do. “So he goes home and tells his wife, ‘Let’s have the baby,’” Fr. Cordeiro related. The priest, who is a member of the Companions of the Cross, called the story a “beautiful testimony” that shows “the power of prayer, the power of peaceful resistance to this awful evil of abortion.” Photos: St. Timothy’s 2026 Life Chain participants. This is worth your time and explains why MAiD (euthanasia) by "advance request" should horrify every Canadian.

Abortion is often dismissed as a personal choice, a medical procedure, or simply a matter of perspective. But there is one undeniable reality that cannot be explained away: an unborn child is a human life. In her latest commentary, Judie Brown challenges the growing tendency to treat the right to life as just another viewpoint in the abortion debate. She reminds us that human dignity is not determined by public opinion, political ideology, or judicial decisions. tinyurl.com/bdez8c7x

Campaign Life Coalition calls on Parliament to split Bill C-41–Press Release Campaign Life Coalition (CLC) calls on Parliament to split Bill C-41 and reject its provisions permitting euthanasia of persons who cannot consent at the time of death. The Government combined those provisions in one bill with a measure that would stop the expansion of euthanasia to those whose sole condition is a mental illness. Justice Minister @SeanFraserMP tabled Bill C-41, the Medical Assistance in Dying Safeguards Act, on Tuesday, 27 October 2026. Under this bill, a person diagnosed with a disease such as Alzheimer's could sign a request years in advance. Once that person has lost capacity, a doctor or nurse practitioner could end his life by lethal injection. Under the bill, the clinician decides whether the patient is suffering, based on observation and the information available (s. 241.21(4)). Words, sounds or gestures made in response to contact, possibly including pushing the clinician or needle away while shouting, could be construed by the clinician as involuntary and therefore would not count as refusal (s. 241.21(7)). Bill C-41 does not contain any prohibition against sedating the patient beforehand, which is what many euthanasia clinicians may do to patients who resist the administration of their lethal injection. "A patient who signs a request under Bill C-41 early in a degenerative illness may change her mind as the illness progresses and she experiences the care of loved ones," said Brandan Tran, Director of Public Affairs at CLC. "A clinician would decide whether the patient's sounds and gestures amount to refusal. This second half of Bill C-41 is the infliction of death on vulnerable persons at a time at which they cannot consent for themselves and who may be prevented from withdrawing prior consent." Tran criticized the government for combining both measures in one bill, a move he said was calculated to flex political power and was not done in the interests of good governance. CLC calls on Parliament to split Bill C-41 and pass the mental illness exclusion on its own before March 17, 2027.
