NEW The UK's welfare bill now expected to climb to ÂŁ431.3bn by 2031/32, says the Office for Budget Responsibility.
In March, the OBR had estimated that the UK’s welfare bill would rise to £406.2bn – the equivalent to 11 per cent of GDP – by 2030-31.
Chancellor John Healey says no Government action on welfare until next year after publication of two reviews.

Off to the Caribbean with The King to bring our @GBNEWS audience special coverage of the Royal Visit to the Bahamas, State Visit to Guyana, and Royal Visit to Antigua and Barbuda - where CHOGM is being held 🇧🇸🇬🇾🇦🇬
The visit will focus on the “vibrant present and promising future” of Caribbean nations, but demands for slavery reparations and an apology are also expected.
King Charles will “not shy away” from the issue, but is not expected to give in to demands - which would be a UK Government decision.

Royal Mail should be back in public hands.
After years of missed delivery targets, Royal Mail has proven it can’t be run effectively by the private sector.
That’s why I’ve called on the Government to renationalise it.
If we fail to act, we risk losing Royal Mail for good.
