@tyler on Zcash as HTTPS:
"The government fought encryption and treated it as a munition. Bitcoin is HTTP, in the clear. Zcash is HTTPS."
"The government fought that too, then 180'd and said all government websites must be HTTPS."
Encryption always wins in the end.

@zkdragon on Zcash setting the standard:
"Every time Zcash made a technical decision, the rest of the industry copied it. Ethereum should obviously have used BLS12-377. They went with BLS12-381 just because Zcash did."
BLS12-381 was built for Zcash. Now Ethereum runs on it.
NEW: Is It Time To End The ZCash Community Grants Fund?
Maxime Desalle says the Winklevoss Capital thesis for Zcash is simple: it's Bitcoin, but encrypted.
He joins me in the Tokenization Tower to explain the Zcash Community Grants fund and its roughly $128 million treasury.
He breaks down why Zcash should stay mission focused instead of funding social causes, why he'd rather let companies, whales and university clubs fund development the way Google and Red Hat engineers build Linux.
He also says Zooko's compromise proposal that redirects the 8% of block rewards into a new fund that coin holders get a say over is a happy-medium he's willing to accept. He also covers what NU8 and Tachyon mean for scale and quantum resistance, why Zcash has already outlasted the toughest regulators, and how to hold shielded coins safely today.

We've done a very detailed benchmark of production Zcash node behavior. Zakura is crushing it in every dimension, and this release solidifies it. 😁

Aayush Giri (@AayushStack) has joined Shielded Labs as a Forward Deployed Engineer on our Zero team!
He will help build and support Zcash infrastructure for exchanges, mining pools, wallet providers, and other ecosystem partners.
Aayush is based in India and joins us from Nethermind, where he started as a research engineer building a proof of concept of LatticeFold, a lattice-based folding scheme. He later became a Senior Developer Relations Engineer focused on Starknet and Aztec.
We discovered Aayush through his contributions to the Zcash community. He runs a shielded testnet faucet backed by his own node and solo miner, which allows it to produce and distribute test coins without relying on another operator’s infrastructure. He also built Speedrun Zcash, a set of hands-on challenges for developers learning to build on Zcash.
Please join us in welcoming Aayush!

Zcash is perfect Bitcoin.
Winklevoss Capital’s Max Desalle says Zcash fixes the three biggest problems with Bitcoin.
“Our thesis for Zcash really is Bitcoin, but encrypted.”
“It’s not private. It’s not quantum resistant and it’s not scalable.”
“Bitcoin, but perfect.”
“So, yeah, we’re very bullish on Zcash.”
