untitled (halo) filters ultrasharp indie rock instincts through the murky haze of Dean Blunt and Clams Casino, crafting blurry bangers that swallow you whole. Of the various groups placed under the large umbrella the internet is calling "cloud rock," untitled (halo) might make the strongest case for the name. On "aimee lou wood freestyle," they wash a jerk beat in TV-static guitar fuzz, then cut through apparitional vocals with hard-hitting rap chants, effortlessly blending sample-based beatmaking with alt-rock sensibilities. It’s a clear snapshot of what they do best. Longtime friends Ariana Mamnoon, Jack Dione, Jay Are, and Nicholas Noneman formed untitled (halo) after years in LA's DIY community left them wanting a scene of their own. Their 2023 debut EP 'towncryer' drew attention with "el prado freestyle," born from their first recording session together. Three years later, their self-titled debut album arrives November 6 via @DirtyHit.
