Our mission is to promote greater understanding of UAP (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena) by advocating for government transparency & scientific research.

🧵 We have released a new policy brief: Policy Brief No. 7 - All Government-Funded UAP Records Belong in the UAP Records Collection at the National Archives. The policy brief is authored by Christopher Mellon (@ChrisKMellon), Jordan Flowers (@jordanflowers) and Hunt Willis. The new policy brief argues that the FY 2024 NDAA requires the National Archives’ UAP Records Collection to include not only agency records, but also government-provided and government-funded records, including those held by federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs). disclosure.org/research/all-…

Legendary New York Post Columnist Cindy Adams Calls for UAP Transparency Cindy Adams, one of America's most recognizable columnists, has joined the growing chorus calling for answers on UAP. A New York Post columnist since 1979, Adams has spent nearly five decades covering influential figures in politics, entertainment, and world affairs. Her career includes interviews with world leaders, bestselling biographies, and decades of reporting from within some of the nation's most influential circles. In her latest column, Adams questions why the American public remains in the dark about evidence that could carry historic implications for humanity. “Humanity deserves to see if we are not alone.” She also highlights the efforts of Rep. Eric Burlison, David Grusch, Leslie Kean, and James Fox to seek answers, while emphasizing the importance of independent scientific scrutiny. The Disclosure Foundation welcomes Adams' support for greater transparency and accountability. Her voice adds to a growing public conversation about the need for responsible disclosure. nypost.com/2026/10/26/opinio…

Where Are the UAP Task Force Records? Jay Stratton (@jaystratton), former Director of the Pentagon's Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF), led the very organization whose records remain the subject of serious transparency questions. Stratton, in his recently released book "Out of the Shadows," does discuss some of the data that the UAPTF had collected over the years - but does not go into any substantial detail. The Disclosure Foundation calls for a comprehensive accounting of UAPTF records and the release of all material that can lawfully be declassified, including the imagery described in the quote from Policy Brief No. 5: Concrete Next Steps for UAP Disclosure.

UAP Disclosure Is a National Security Imperative Rep. Eric Burlison (@RepEricBurlison) is right. The United States cannot afford to surrender its technological advantage to foreign adversaries while critical information about unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) remains buried behind excessive secrecy. The Disclosure Foundation has repeatedly called for the creation of a National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on UAP to establish a comprehensive assessment of the phenomenon, identify critical intelligence gaps, and evaluate potential national security threats. America cannot lead in technologies it refuses to fully investigate. The time for decisive action is now.
Breakthroughs in advanced technology could reshape the balance of power at critical global flashpoints. In a race with major national security implications, the U.S. cannot afford to fall behind on disclosure.

UAP Studies Expand at CUNY Graduate Center The City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center will offer a new Master’s-level course in Spring 2027 titled “From UFOs to UAP: Disclosure and National Security,” taught by Dr. Eli Karetny (@EKaretny) of the Ralph Bunche Institute for International Studies. This past May, the Disclosure Foundation proudly sponsored a CUNY Graduate Center event featuring investigative journalist Leslie Kean (@lesliekean), where our Executive Director, Jordan Flowers (@jordanflowers), spoke about the importance of academic engagement, government transparency, and responsible UAP disclosure. We welcome this next step toward bringing UAP research into mainstream academia, encouraging rigorous interdisciplinary inquiry into its national security, scientific, and societal implications. Registration opens in November, with classes beginning January 28, 2027. For questions about the course, please contact Dr. Eli Karetny directly.

1/5 Missing UAP Program Records: Located, but Still Not Released? In this final post from a recently recorded interview with Dr. Phil (@DrPhil), Rep. Eric Burlison (@RepEricBurlison) raised serious concerns about missing records associated with the Pentagon's AATIP investigation, including work involving Jay Stratton (@jaystratton) and Lue Elizondo (@LueElizondo). Burlison questioned how records from an investigation conducted as recently as the 2010s could apparently be missing or deleted, calling for more aggressive efforts to locate them and ensure government accountability. Burlison stated: "Sadly, our government is still blocking the President from getting access to the information [on UAP], and the perfect evidence of that is that we can't find the missing AATIP documents." Since the interview was recorded, two important developments have emerged: 1. October 6: Investigative journalist George Knapp (@g_knapp) reported that the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) had apparently located the missing AAWSAP files. 2. October 13: Knapp clarified that the underlying DIA documents had not been publicly released. He explained that James Lacatski's books condensed approximately 70,000 pages of field notes into 1,250 pages of core information, with the most sensitive material redacted.

Andrew, you are correct. While the actual DIA docs have not been released, Lacatski's books accurately describe and contextualize the contents. He reduced 70,000 pages of field notes down to 1250 pages of core info, while redacting the most sensitive stuff.

In Jay Stratton's (@jaystratton) recently released memoire titled "Out of the Shadows," Stratton states: "There is a lot of evidence of UAP in NASA’s archives that has never seen the light of day. And while I can’t provide the specific examples I am aware of, I can say this with certainty: The evidence NASA has matches what our military aircrew have been seeing and reporting for years. The data exists. Stratton goes on to mention that he worked with Mike Gold previously during Gold's tenure as Robert Bigelow's attorney during the AAWSAP days. As we have announced previously, former NASA administrator Mike Gold is also a Disclosure Foundation Advisory Board member and is currently leading the effort to conduct a Foundation-led detailed review of NASA archival material to identify Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) information/data within it.

“The President is the ultimate declassification authority.” Speaking with Dr. Phil (@DrPhil), Disclosure Foundation Executive Director Jordan Flowers (@jordanflowers) emphasized the president's broad authority to declassify information and outlined three actions to advance UAP transparency: 1. Expand NDA waivers across the intelligence community, defense contractors, and federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs). 2. Produce a National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on UAPs, requiring interagency coordination and a formal intelligence assessment of the phenomenon. 3. Establish a whistleblower restitution fund to address retaliation, lost security clearances, loss of income, and threats to personal safety. As Flowers explained, whistleblowers may face severe professional and financial consequences even when they can make protected disclosures without criminal prosecution. Declassification authority exists. The question is how it will be exercised, and whether those who come forward will be adequately protected.
