Kentucky is the first AP Top 25 team in 14 years to win a road game and still fall out of the rankings. The last was #24 Boise State in 2012 after a 3 point win at New Mexico.
The last SEC team to win a road game and fall out of the top 25 was in 2002. When #25 Tennessee was dropped after, oddly enough…a road win at South Carolina in which SC was also a home favorite.

The last time UK had a more impressive road win? How about 1977? Won 24-20 at no. 4 Penn State. Also won that year at Florida and 33-0 at Georgia. Those 2 were unranked. UK finished 10-1, losing only its second game.
