We’re heading to @AfCEM_2024 2026! πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡Ώ Strengthening emergency healthcare systems to save lives means connecting communities, ambulance services, and hospitals so people can access timely, quality emergency medical care. From 11–13 November, Emergency Medicine Kenya Foundation (EMKF) will join colleagues from across Africa and beyond in Arusha, Tanzania, to share practical experiences, lessons and tools from our work strengthening emergency healthcare systems in Kenya. Visit our booth to learn from our experience working with national and county governments, explore the tools we have developed and discover approaches that could be adapted to your setting. We’ll be showcasing: πŸš‘ @AmbulensiOrg β€” Our digital platform for coordinating public ambulance services, supporting centralized dispatch, real-time ambulance tracking, crew communication, clinical protocols, and standard operating procedures. See how it works and learn from our experience implementing it with county governments. πŸ“± @Casualtyapp β€” Our free digital platform providing first-aid guidance for the public and emergency care resources for healthcare providers. Explore practical first-aid guidance, clinical algorithms and other emergency care tools, and learn how Casualty can support emergency care education and practice in different settings. Meet our team, see the tools in action, and exchange ideas on strengthening emergency medical care across Africa and beyond. We look forward to connecting with you in Arusha! Emergency care policies create the mandate. Financing turns that mandate into services patients can rely on. From coordinated ambulance response to timely treatment in Emergency Care Centers, reliable emergency care requires trained teams, medicines, equipment and systemsβ€”all backed by adequate, predictable financing. At the County Leadership Emergency Care Conference 2026, convened by EMKF, county health leaders, emergency care teams and partners explored how to put this into practice. Across two days of practical sessions and county peer learning, participants examined how to cost emergency care services, strengthen county budgets, use service data to guide investment and secure reimbursement for eligible emergency care. The goal: sustain the entire emergency care pathway so patients receive timely, lifesaving care when they need it most.
