In a resounding rebuke, Florida's Democratic Congressional Delegation has held strong against the rigged maps Republicans drew for themselves. Florida voters saw through the blatant power grab and FLIPPED a seat. These leaders will continue to fight for Floridians to deliver relief from the affordability crisis crushing their communities.

I gave this office everything I had.
I didn’t do everything perfectly. But I hope no one ever doubted my willingness to work hard, stand up for our district, and fight for the people I was entrusted to represent.
For four years, we challenged powerful interests, brought resources home, and crossed party lines to serve our community. I will always be proud of what we accomplished together, and I’d do it all over again, even knowing the brutal challenges it would bring me.
I leave with no bitterness, only gratitude, pride in our work, and tremendous love for this community.
To everyone who will carry this work forward, I wish you wisdom and success. Our community deserves both. The voters made their choice, and I respect it.
To everyone who stood beside me, especially through the hardest moments, thank you. I could not have done it without you. Your trust and friendship will stay with me forever.

Last night, Florida voters broke the Republican supermajority in the Florida House! In historic gains, Florida Democrats netted 15 seats in the state house. These are seats in deep-red districts, like House District 51 in Polk County where Octavio E. Hernandez swung the district by 18 points, and other communities across the state.
Florida Democrats now return to Tallahassee with more power to fight Republican extremism.

SEAT HELD! Congressman Darren Soto holds onto FL-09 in a tight and incredibly hard-fought race. Florida Republicans re-drew this district to eliminate Rep. Soto from his seat, underestimating his years of hard work for Central Florida.
