So proud of my former Forbes colleagues who kept fighting for more than four years (!!) to secure their first union contract 💪
Now more than ever, it's important to support editorial integrity and career tracks in journalism. Excited to see what they achieve in a new chapter!

Congrats!
We are still trying to get Washingtonian CEO @merrillwilliams to raise the salary floor above $42,500–a number that becomes more out of touch with reality and industry standards every day.

$6 million: that could’ve afforded Forbes Union staff over $65,000 in raises apiece. Management may've sacked Randall Lane, but they continue in their opposition to giving us fair wages. Does Forbes management think taking a secret payment is a way for journalists to get a raise?
Today, our members distributed fliers outside the Forbes Iconoclast summit to let management know we deserve a fair contract.
Four years into bargaining, Forbes is still proposing wages that do not keep up with inflation.
Solidarity,
Forbes Union
On Sunday, our members placed flyers around Forbes Vice Chairman Mike Perlis’s hometown. Mike has been absent from bargaining for years, despite our calls for fair wages and protections.
Management has no excuses. Forbes employees deserve a fair contract, and we will win one.
Our colleagues were back last weekend in the hometown of @Forbes CEO @SherrysPhillips to spread the news that she is a union buster who continues to deny our members a fair contract. 👎
At the bargaining table, @forbes is the anti-union machine you might expect, digging in its heels when the union arrives ready to negotiate.
Stop stonewalling, Sherry and @forbes!!! Many in the newsroom have gone YEARS without a raise, while Sherry proposes piddly annual increase nowhere close to the inflation rate!!!
Our fearless colleagues braved the snowstorm last weekend to visit the hometown of @Forbes CEO @SherrysPhillips and spread the news that she is a union buster who continues to deny our members a fair contract. 👎
At bargaining this month, the @forbes management team was in full refusal mode, coming to the table with exactly nothing when the union arrived ready to negotiate with six counters.
Stop stonewalling, Sherry and @forbes!!! Many in the newsroom have gone YEARS without a raise, while Sherry proposes a 1.5% annual increase, not even close to the inflation rate!!!

👇 @Forbes CEO Sherry Phillips hasn't been to a single bargaining session. Instead, she sends proxies who speak for her and this is the kind of thing that comes of it.
