Our website, mathnodes.com was down briefly due to an unjustified legal claim by CEO of @norselabs and @SentinelP2P
@alexlitreev sent a legal threat to our hosting provider due to the purchase and subsequent use of the domain dvpn.app . His claim was that it is trademarked and presents a scam image of his poorly named app DVPN.
This is legally and morally unjustified for numerous reasons:
1. "DVPN" is not trademarked in any jurisdiction in the world and never will be. Its like trying to trademark "VPN". His reference is to a pending trademark application for "$DVPN" which we are filing an appeal of because it is commom use for financial applications by individuals like here on X and Cash App and various others. We expect his pending trademark to be rejected.
2. He quotes the redirect of dvpn.app of posing a "scamy" link for is unimaginative app DVPN. We laugh, because Meile is the oldest active app on Sentinel.
3. He never reach out to us personally and instead tried to sideline our dvpn.app domain through our VPS provider. We have worked with Aleksandr going on 6 years now and did not receive a single message about the matter at hand.
Is this the type of person you want to associate with?

Leaked documents suggest China's VPN crackdown has been more effective than many previously believed.
The reason is structural. Centralized VPN providers are ultimately companies with infrastructure that can be pressured, regulated, or restricted.
Yet we've recently demonstrated how an individual used $ZEC and a Sentinel powered decentralized VPN to access the open internet despite these barriers.
The Sentinel Network takes a different approach, providing the infrastructure for independently developed dVPN applications powered by independent peer-to-peer nodes.

The work on direct hourly or gigabyte node sessions (previously subscriptions) is complete. The MacOS build is already on our website and code will be merged into the Windows and Linux branches in the coming days.
This was our biggest use case so we are eager to role it out to everyone. It took a little planning as we wanted to make use of the work on our SDK and also didn't want to make all users upgrade Meile again.

The list can go on, but one thing is clear for us:
All the activity that happened over the past 8 years was not just buried - it evolved into something strong, self-evolving and surprisingly resistant to events like $LUNA collapse or overall crypto market cycles.
And all of that has happened mostly because of the nature of the project - "a public good" - a thing that always gives out utility first and gets contributions back.
Demand for privacy is growing rapidly and will continue to do so, and our role is not just to benefit from it but to be responsible for the private layer of the next decade of internet.
