Our preprint, "Sparse Linear Algebra Accelerates Genotype Representation Graph Computation at Biobank Scale," introduces Mikado, a method that reformulates genotype representation graph (GRG) traversal as a sparse triangular solve. I'm thrilled it's finally out!

Data in life sciences is often sparse and irregular, and that shapes everything from algorithms to hardware. Using Mikado, our recent work, as a running example, I will show how designing for that structure from the start pays off in performance, portability, and productivity.
