President Trump's "triumphal arch" would cast a literal shadow on Arlington National Cemetery — a place of solemn remembrance to generations of American heroes who have given their life in service to our country.

That's why Virginia filed this lawsuit to attempt to block this unlawful construction from proceeding.

Arlington National Cemetery is the final resting place of generations of Americans who have answered the call to defend the promise of our nation. President Trump's proposed 250-foot arch would literally cast a shadow on this hallowed ground and overshadow the legacy of the generations of courageous men and women who are laid to rest at Arlington. washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/…

The Trump Administration's so-called "One Big Beautiful Bill" will pull BILLIONS out of Virginia’s healthcare system. Rural hospitals will be some of the worst hit. These cuts from President Trump and congressional Republicans hurt Virginians and will raise costs for everyone.

Today is the first day of Open Enrollment for 2027 healthcare coverage!   Open enrollment begins November 1, 2026 and ends January 29, 2027.    You may qualify for new savings thanks to new legislation we got across the finish line to dedicate $150 million to the Virginia Premium Savings program.   I encourage every family across the Commonwealth to see if the Virginia Premium Savings program could save them money on their health insurance next year. marketplace.virginia.gov

Cancer patients shouldn’t be forced to jump through bureaucratic hoops to access the lifesaving care they need. As the Trump Administration threatens healthcare coverage, states are fighting back. We won an important court case that reaffirms that patients deserve timely access to the care their doctors recommend — not unnecessary red tape. @AGJayJones and I will continue to do everything in our power to protect patients, make sure families can see their doctors, and push back against the chaos out of Washington.

Any proposed merger involving Virginia’s primary state-regulated utility must benefit families, small businesses, and Virginia’s workforce — not just the shareholders of these multi-billion dollar corporations.

This year, Virginia became the first state in the South to pass a paid family and medical leave program. This means hardworking Virginians will have the freedom to take care of their loved ones, recover from illness, and spend time with their newborns — all with the confidence that they will keep their paychecks.

I spent the day today at VMI with state policymakers and local leaders. I got to hear directly from cadets, faculty, and staff about life on Post. I witnessed firsthand the discipline, the camaraderie, and the commitment that defines the Corps. Thank you to everyone at VMI for your dedication to service and your commitment to our Commonwealth.

As the mother of school-aged girls, I understand families' concerns about the impact of data center diesel backup generators. Like I told @NBCNightlyNews, I am putting clear standards in place to make sure that what had been permitted in years past is not permitted into the future. We are cracking down on older backup generators and requiring data centers to use cleaner backup power going forward.

I’m proud to have the most talented, hardest-working cabinet in Virginia’s history. They are also the most diverse cabinet Virginia has ever seen. Every single one of our cabinet secretaries were selected because they’re the best of the best in their respective fields. They also bring invaluable perspectives from across the Commonwealth — from Danville, Hampton Roads, Richmond, NOVA, and more. I’m grateful to get to work with these incredibly dedicated, hard-working, and talented cabinet officials to serve the Commonwealth of Virginia. richmond.com/opinion/column/…

The Commonwealth of Virginia recognizes October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I recently attended a community open enrollment and health fair in Norfolk, where Sentara Health displayed their 3D Mobile Mammography and Mobile Community Cares Van. Early detection of cancer saves lives — I encourage Virginians to talk to their healthcare providers and consider early detection methods and screening.
