PSA: If you used Keplr wallet with Apple/Google login, you might be rekt. Get out if you still can.
Waiting details from @Web3Auth to figire out the extent of damage. I wonder who else might be rekt.
We have received reports of unauthorized transactions on some Keplr accounts created with Google or Apple login. We flagged this to the @Web3Auth team and have been working with them on the investigation since.
Based on our initial assessment: if you created your Keplr wallet with a recovery phrase or a hardware wallet, you are NOT affected.
If you created your Keplr account with Google or Apple login, your account may be affected. While we investigate:
– Do not send new funds to that account.
– Do not re-import or recreate it anywhere.
– Google/Apple login is paused for now.
– Trust updates only from this account. Ignore DMs or links offering “recovery”.
We will share verified details and next steps here as soon as we have them.

The situation that happened in Paraguay with Ueno Bank is actually not a great example of why DeFi is good.
In practice, DeFi is still very dependent on the banking structure. Seems like folks forget about the USDC depeg.

Why did DAI stop using only ETH as collateral? Why is BOLD by LQTY not as successful as USDT AND USDC? Is it just a distribution thing?
A massive driver to $ETH being an SOV would be to make it back money that can be used IRL
AKA an overcollateralized ETH-backed stable.
Gold had the gold standard, ETH should have the ETH standard which would further entrench its promise as a store of value, and let ETH also be useful for money by the means of backing money spawned from it.

Terra's UST collapse ended up affecting innovation in decentralized stablecoins.
We need decentralized stablecoins more than ever.
I even believe that Ethereum Foundation or adjacent institution should launch one (or acquire Liquity)
Backed by $ETH alone - no other LST or anything.
It would help Ethereum to achieve Vitalik's vision for privacy, decentralization and security. Plus pump ETH price.
