Alex Pretti's father: Our son was shot and killed by the government, federal immigration agents, on January 24th, 2026. We learned about his death from the media as we saw him being shot repeatedly in the back after helping a woman from his community. This was not a protest that Alex was at. His hands were in the air, and his face was on the ground when he was executed by ICE agents. We know exactly what our eyes saw. No one from the federal government called us on that day. But they did go on TV to tell lies about Alex. No one has called us since. No one has recanted those lies.

Thank the lord that in 2026 it’s still possible for a League Two side to beat the champions of England. This, I think, is what the elite would like to deny us. Thank you & congratulations @ftfc 👏

"Repetition without applause." 👏👏👏
Harry Kane was released at eight. Arsenal academy said no. At Tottenham, he wasn’t trusted either. Loan after loan. Leyton Orient. Millwall. Norwich. Leicester. Different teams. Different systems. Same doubts. Too slow. Not explosive. Not elite. While others chased highlights, he studied finishing. Angles. Rebounds. Second balls. Extra shooting after training. Repetition without applause. Goals without cameras. One season, he finally stayed. Minutes came. Confidence followed. Then goals exploded. Golden Boots. Captain of England. One of the most reliable scorers in Europe. From loaned out to leading the line. Rejection doesn’t mean you lack talent. Improve, then try again.

What happened to it between 2010 and 2024?
When Margaret Thatcher left Number 10 in November 1990, the UK's debt : GDP ratio was roughly 22%-26% (depending on the specific calculation). That was down significantly from around 42% to 43.6%, when she first took office in 1979. Today, UK debt : GDP stands at roughly 95%.

Five years ago, I appeared on a BBC Newsnight special with Katie Razzall, exposing the shocking reality of children being placed in unregulated accommodation, without proper safeguards, oversight or accountability. We exposed a system that was failing its most vulnerable children. Since then, we've seen children abused, exploited by criminal gangs and, tragically, lives lost. Five years later, we're still having the same conversations. More reviews. More reports. More promises. Millions of pounds of taxpayers money spent, yet children continue to be failed. How many more reviews do we need? How many more children must suffer? How many more lives must be lost before we finally act? We don't need another conversation about change. We need change. Enough is enough.

Amid the egos that can go out of control with the Ballon D’Or, Kane is a good, diligent, hard-working - and exceptionally talented - professional. Actually feels a bit of a winner from another era, in a good way.
