Innocent seafarers continue to bear the human cost of geopolitical conflicts around the world. Today, I called on Member States to reaffirm their commitment to protecting the safety, security and well-being of #seafarers. They deserve more than our gratitude; they deserve action.

Busy first day of the IMO Council, I spoke with the press, about protecting #seafarers in vital shipping lanes and other key maritime issues on the Council’s agenda.
