Leaders in Teaching Ethiopia Program is a five-year initiative by the @MastercardFdn, implemented by @imagine1day, Education Development Trust(EDT), and Geneva Global Ethiopia.
That gap means 7 in 10 Ethiopian children of secondary-school age are not enrolled in secondary school. For many, primary school is where their education ends.

This month, 408 lead trainers from 39 universities, TVET institutions & teacher colleges completed a 5-day Training of Trainers on competency-based curriculum.
Next: they'll train CTE teachers in 700 #LiTEProgram schools across Ethiopia.

The National Youth Advisory Group (NYAG) of the Leaders in Teaching Ethiopia (LiTE) Program convened a meeting in Addis Ababa on September 5, 2026, for its biannual review.
Members assessed six months of progress, discussed emerging challenges and explored ways to strengthen meaningful youth participation in shaping the Program’s next phase.
