I’m always going through different phases of music depending on the week or month. Some veers more esoteric than others but I do tend to prefer jazz, blues, old school country music, Cuban music, r and b, soul, old school hip hop, afrobeat, classical, bluegrass, operas, roots music etc. For whatever reason I don’t tend to listen to metal, reggae or pop music much but I’m pretty open minded. But where I’m going here is this is a place I always end up back at. Lightnin Hopkins is always where I come back to. For decades now. Not sure why. It’s just home to me for some reason. I’ll inevitably be back at his door and it fills me w peace, tranquility and inspiration God I love this shit!! Just putting my feet out in Cali after another groovy Isaak show!
