🧵 If reforestation could work anywhere, it's in Brazil's Amazon rainforest. I followed two reforestation projects for 3+ years to find out why it's so hard. Threats at gunpoint, botanical mysteries, here's what I found. 1/ reuters.com/investigates/spe…

From the Fox News video, I noticed that Rep. Omar's street had 3 speed bumps in one block. I found a map of all speed bumps in DC on the city's OpenData website and fed it to Chatgpt to find probable locations. While racing to check out those locations, someone just sent me the address. A1 in the Wash Post was the result.

A very fancy visual graphic showing the difference between the normal Marine One landing spot (on lawn that is current unusable) vs where Trump will be choppering in and out for the next few months (and using a motorcade to go back and forth).

New: Trump is set to resume his Marine One helicopter flights — but from the Ellipse, not the White House, given the sheer amount of construction. And instead of walking out the WH doors, now he'll take a motorcade. with @jakespring @DanLamothe washingtonpost.com/politics/…

Trump has a new side project: counting the number of trees in a public park across the street from the White House. He wants Lafayette Square to feature 47 trees — to match his 47th presidency, per people familiar. with @jakespring washingtonpost.com/politics/…
