Also: if your personal bot isn't arguing with the PR review bot, are you really next level?

what if you could pass a TypeScript type to JSON.parse and it validates the input at runtime?

Gemini is definitely the only modern model that still hallucinates so often that it means you shouldn't ever trust it. It's wild.
I don't think you guys appreciate just how bad Gemini is at agentic work. The hallucination rates are truly surreal. In one run, it hallucinated: - line numbers (quoted line 173 in a 72-line file) - random ip addresses - command/script arguments - function exports and returns

I don't know if I've seen a company self-own themself quite like this before but then again I don't drive an [object Object]

Really don't like that they claim this as it's not true in the literal sense: you loose any included credit with third party models like Claude. Which for folks like me who love Grok but also love using other company models to review things, is a big deal. Be honest.

By that I mean if you use ANY third party model you have to pay extra per token. Nothing included.

Jokes on them. I remember the last time I wrote alert("fuck you") for IE5 and accidentally shipped it to prod.
one day you wrote console.log("here") for the last time and didn't even know it

Yes, this actually happened.

So Grok Bot is actually pretty sick, even if it's not yet something I use daily. It's done a few tasks for me, but the most noteworthy is it rearranged all my streaming service subscription plans so that I maximize CC statement credits. Saving $380/year plus now I get Hulu too.

Basically it found that by switching some of the streaming plans to monthly instead of annual, and by utilizing promotions like free Walmart+ subscription that includes Peacock for free too, I better utilize the various CC perks I get.

We keep improving performance across Claude, and you may have noticed it starts responding sooner! Claude Code now gzips the conversation it sends on every turn, so it reaches the model faster. Cloud sessions also start up as soon as you start typing.

Goose: my latest programming language. Safer, faster and less memory than Rust/C++ for algorithms where tightly packed, flat data structures matter. It can represent more kinds of data structures as flat, pointer-free bytes than any language I know. github.com/aardappel/goose 1/

Someone used AI to create open source copies of Adobe Creative Suite apps like Photoshop et al in Rust. Best of all they're not only available as native desktop apps but you can also download them as WebAssembly apps and run it in your browser instead if you're worried about security. It also has a CLI and MCPs. getartcraft.com/apps

Blows my mind that YouTube puts 3x playback speed behind a paywall when it's literally built into browsers, they just prevent you from using it from the UI. You can pop open Chrome Dev Tools, find the <video> tag, and set playbackRate = 3 for free.

Kudos to @suno customer service. I could have swore I canceled my yearly sub last year--I remember going through the flow and everything--but it renewed anyway. Emailed their support and they refunded me.

Who knows if it was a bug or it wouldn't surprise me if I didn't make it to the actual last step cause it's one of those multi-step cancelation flows, but the fact that they refunded without a fuss left me definitely feeling like when I have more time to devote to music I'll come back!
