I agree, @johnkhall. And while I hate wasting my time writing this, I'm going to say it anyway!
Some digital vendors sound like Anthony Fauci: trust the experts, stop asking questions. We all watched where that goes. Fauci didn’t just burn his own credibility during COVID—he took the institutions behind him down with him. Bad digital vendors are doing the same thing to their industry right now.
“Because it works” is this industry’s version of “trust the science.”

Bringing back the original concept of “public service.” Great work, @SenMcCormickPA and @SenFettermanPA.
Too many older Pennsylvanians are being left isolated from the communities they helped build.
@SenFettermanPA and I came together in Pittsburgh today for a @SenateAging hearing to hear what works and what Washington can do better. This is about showing up for our seniors.

This is what happens when you take nothing for granted, focus relentlessly on your state, and work like you’re 10 points behind even in a race most incumbents would assume is “safe.” Textbook stuff here.
Senator Tom Cotton heads into Election Day with a commanding lead in Arkansas, 51% to 37%, in a new GrayHouse poll of likely voters. With undecided voters who lean toward a candidate included, Cotton’s lead grows to 16 points, 55% to 39%.
Cotton’s margin has also widened since our early-October poll, as Hallie Shoffner’s support slips in the final stretch.
The frustrating part of the debate over GOP email deliverability, text messaging, and online fundraising is how weak our mentality has become.
We seem desperate to believe that someone is punishing us and that success is outside our control.
That's a loser's mentality.
Think about how absurd that is.
We're supposed to be the party of personal responsibility, competition, and free markets.
Yet when it comes to our own marketing, we seem to believe we're entitled to a spot in someone's inbox, regardless of whether they signed up or not, regardless of whether they want to get it or not, and regardless if they unsubscribe or reply stop.

Tough to take a lecture on “rigged systems” the day after the New York Times exposed your campaign for stacking the ballot.
Um, sure.
But, you absolutely cannot divorce marketing tactics from inboxing performance. That's the entire problem.
Imagine two people. One is 100 pounds overweight and unhealthy. The other is fit and healthy.
One eats 12 Twinkies a day and washes it down with chocolate milkshakes. The other eats well and exercises regularly.
Would anyone seriously wonder why one is unhealthy?
The same applies to email. You cannot ignore the behavior that produces the results and then act shocked by the results.
We scanned 50,000+ emails over the last 30 days.
There’s a 45-point gap in inbox rate between the two parties.
Whatever you think of the marketing tactics, that gap is INSANE and hard to ignore. 📊@InboxGOP

100% this.
The reality is that Google and Apple have been protecting us from the predatory grift of Republican consultants. The data now definitively shows that the Republican politicians who let this happen for their benefit have actually allowed the consultant class to kill the goose that laid the golden egg.
You are exactly right, @EWErickson. nitter.gq/johnkhall/status/21150…

John is spot on here. While I recommend reading the article, his series of tweets under this one are extremely insightful. Our HQ gets dozens of calls every day from local voters tired of this.
One of the biggest problems with GOP online fundraising is that we keep looking for easy solutions instead of fixing the underlying problems.
Before WinRed, we were told technology was the reason we couldn't keep up with Dems.
It wasn't. And it still isn't. 🧵

I tried to create an X account to post all the absurd texts we got two years ago, but we gave up after a couple weeks. Follow @GOPfundTexts for someone more dedicated to posting how absurd fundraising texting has become.

I don't know how anyone can look at the data and think Republicans *don't* have a problem.
I don't want to rely on Trump or a small handful of mega donors to fund our races. I want voters to buy into what we're selling. We all should.

Must-read 🧵 thread for every Republican who hates the daily assault of fraudulent fundraising texts and wonders why Dems keep outpacing us in online $$ while the consultants get rich. Dems build unique marketing campaigns around candidates while Rs sell fake “Trump checks.”
