Before feeds learned what we liked 💻
The internet surprised us🔮
You can get a taste of that feeling now: the new Kento page is live with virtual packs!
How do you know when a work is finished?
Sometimes you don’t.
@travess x @Art_Domains
A practice can be less like a straight line and more like a river, branching, changing, and still moving.
Why collectible cards?
A familiar format with a connection to art, nostalgia, and the simple joy of collecting.

“I guess the five cards are just different bits of my childhood, but with bugs taking over everything.”
Meet @riniifish 🐛
For Kento Season 01: Web Nostalgia, she turns memories of growing up around technology into a world of her own.
“I don't always know where the story is going or what the final piece will look like. I usually just follow the characters and see what happens.”
For Riniifish, each character’s unfolding story can become the beginning of a new artwork.
A childhood remembered through bugs: calling friends about nothing, watching them play games, and imagining a virtual pet of your own.

For @adiw_galih, Web Nostalgia means remembering when going online felt like a little adventure.
One of Kento’s Open Call winners, the Indonesian artist revisits that feeling in After School, his card for Season 01: Web Nostalgia. 🧵
After School returns to a childhood when the internet felt full of possibilities.
“It was a space where curiosity, exploration, friendship, and imagination could grow.”
For Kento, that memory takes the form of a physical collectible. 🎴
Created digitally, After School begins on a screen. As a Kento card, it offers another way to experience the work: something to hold, enjoy, and collect.

🟩🟥 New Ways of Collecting Digital Art
For International Artist Day, our Head Curator @KikaNicolela and @Travess, artist featured in Kento Season 01, are joining the @Art_Domains Artist Day Conference 2026.
Their conversation, "The Easiest Door In", looks at one of the barriers to entering digital art: the complexity of crypto wallets and seed phrases, and how a pack of physical cards might offer a more accessible starting point.

@Travess Smalley, whose work is held in the collections of ZKM, the MoMA Library, and Centre Pompidou, will also be presenting an upcoming exhibition in Berlin with @GalerieMet, in November.
🔽
Organized by .ART, the conference brings together artists and cultural professionals for conversations about authorship, collecting, and the future of art.

“I miss ugly UI.”
For Violet Forest (@violet_forest), web nostalgia lives in personal websites, customized pages, and the links that led from one person’s world to another.
That spirit runs through her work for Kento Season 01. 🧵↓
Her Kento works are webcore.html and McBlingee.html.
She wanted to make a 3D website where people could revisit the early internet, or experience a version of it for the first time. Her idea: a Windows XP landscape you could actually surf through, populated with preserved historical GIFs.
"The work is the website, and the card is simply a physical bookmark to it, a link to the original."
