kyle is one of those people you have a conversation with and leave with a whole new perspective, many times i've chatted with him and been like "how didn't i think of that"
extremely excited to have him on our team and grow fomo's partnership side, his past experience as a top trader only adds to fomo's vision of becoming the social graph of finance
Welcome to the fomo team, @kyle.
A top 20 trader on our all-time leaderboard, Kyle joins the team as Head of Partnerships.
the best way for us to continue building the #1 trading app for users is to ensure we are incredibly close to our power users.
no better way to do that than hiring our top traders.
@kyle is also a multiple time founder that has deep experience in many verticals, including ours.
welcome to the fomo family ❤️

You can never go wrong hiring builders or power users. Kyle is both.
fomo ecosystem is growing rapidly with @kyle at the helm.
I’ve joined the @fomo team to lead partnerships.
I’ve been in crypto for nine years and have been thinking about crypto social for much of that time. I was Farcaster user #303, built the social trading network @clicker, and angel invested in fomo.
Then I ran my public fomo account (@kyle) up to top 20 all time. Now I get to help grow the product I’ve spent so much time using, and there's nowhere else I’d rather be.
I’ve admired @paulerlanger, @seyong, @qrazhan_ultd, and the team since they launched, and my conviction has only grown since joining. We have not seen a new social network break out since TikTok, and I believe fomo will be the next.
My focus at fomo is chains and team tags. If you want more activity on your chain or you want to reach your token holders directly, let’s talk.

Amazing. @eltokh7 is out with a Spotify wrapped for your neighborhood’s 311 complaints.
Put in your zip code and see what your neighbors complain about and when.

road to (hopefully) $35m | month 7 recap
status: currently at $12.8m of $35m. down from $14.8m last month.
the goal, for anyone new: documenting a run from $7m to $35m in spot crypto ($5m start, $1m added in june, $1m added in september), every position shown, the losses too.
running tally: $7m in, $10.4m peak in may, below $7m over the summer, $14.8m at the end of september, october closes at $12.8m
no changes to zcash position except for moving 2/3 of it into fomo. red month overall and my active meme chapter is over for now. last month i wrote that i shoved some meme chips in and it would either work or it wouldn't. well, it didn’t lol.
i knew going in that memes weren't my game, tried it anyway with size, and got my answer. the one thing i did right was cutting it before it turned into tilt.
one bigger win last month was strk, though i watched it nearly triple and come back a long way before i cut. wrote about that one already.
so october was mostly a reset. back to what i'm actually decent at, which is regular alts with a narrative and a chart, held for months. that's what the whole run was built on before i wandered off into meme land.
two new positions, both posted this week. about $500k of uniswap and about $1.6m of pump. the uni thesis is rwa and institutions landing on ethereum with uniswap as the venue. the pump thesis is own the casino, same revenue as hyperliquid at 1/10 of the valuation.
no changes to the zcash position, but i moved two thirds of it onto fomo, so most of this port lives there now.
where that leaves me:
about 95% allocated. i kept a little back in case midterms or a delayed binance hack reaction give us a dump. it won't change much, it'll just make me feel better bidding lower if we get it.
on the market...
a dip from here doesn't mean we're going back to the lows, and it doesn't mean we go straight back to all time highs either. btc did 60 to 87 and now feels like it needs time to build a base under that.
sitting on hands from here is the whole plan. if you're sidelined, either you buy around now or you buy the dip if it comes. my expectation is that within 12 months we're materially higher across the board and these prices look cheap.
month seven done.

equity perps in America 🇺🇸
thinking of creating a very basic guide to understanding perps.
anyone interested?
Today, equity perps can begin trading for the first time on @CFTC registered exchanges.
This move reflects my commitment to ensuring that America’s markets remain the most innovative, liquid, and well-regulated in the world. Instead of being forced to turn to offshore, unregulated venues to access equity perpetual futures, Americans may now access equity perps on CFTC-regulated markets subject to robust safeguards.
I appreciate the continued partnership of @SECGov and @SECPaulSAtkins as we work to further harmonize our agencies' regulatory initiatives.
perps for individual stocks are now legal in the US.
the biggest catalyst for bringing trading onchain...ever?

altcoin perp trading
I've started trading perps on fomo as well, since you can trade basically any coin there via hyperliquid.
why? crypto looks like it has structurally bottomed and watching someone actually trade instead of just talking about altcoin moves makes a huge difference in the learning curve.
still finding my rhythm, since it's not my edge, especially not publicly. managed to climb to rank 41 with +40k while testing the dynamics, so from here I can comfortably trade my setups in capital protection mode, with tight stops that I move to BE quickly.
might start sharing thesis work around entry, SL, TPs and invalidation, plus my thoughts on catalysts and why something is showing relative strength.
