SPARKE ON FILM is a new series where I go back through the films that shaped me… and occasionally the ones I worked on or made myself, and talk about how they were actually made, from someone who does this for a living. New episodes every second sunday.

I have a HUGE favor to ask. Please LIKE our @Kickstarter campaign--The Complete Digital Archive of every issue of @FilmThreat Magazine (all the rare 80s and 90s issues) and a hardcover book, The Film Threat Compendium: A History of Independent Film--this project that has been over a decade in the making! Like and share would help a lot. It's really important that we get enough likes to get our campaign recommended. Thank you! kickstarter.com/projects/tha… #FilmThreatBook #SupportIndieFilm
Working on a memoir book of my life to this point and my time in this industry.
I realized I had a very unique upbringing and journey…
But MAN it’s going to be interesting to reveal so much factual behind the scenes, stories, anecdotes and more!
Final draft in hand.
Looking forward to the next half of the year where we’ll be doing the @_PrimitiveWar sequel and Dino’s of the Wild West back to back!
Can’t wait to finalize casting and get into these! Both extremely exciting!

PRIMITIVE WAR hit #1 on @paramountplus
Huge news for our small team, THANK YOU UK & IRELAND!
Now it’s time to hold strong and stay up there ✊ Hit play and tell your mates…
“Director Luke Sparke nicely blends war and dinosaurs into one hell of a splatterfest in Primitive War. Boasting a fantastic set piece and some excellent performances, this wacky action horror stops at nothing to give you an intensely fun viewing experience!”

Primitive War is #1 in Japan! Kudos to the team @lukesparke and Sparke Films for this epic and rare feat for indie films! This is truly an adaptation to be proud of. Thank you to all our fans for making this possible! 🙏 🇯🇵 🦖
We’re #1 in Japan!
In “limited releases” @_PrimitiveWar is number 1 in the box office.
The idea was to secure a good ranking and then expand out bigger and bigger each week. Well we secured the top spot! Let’s see how big we can expand.
Thanks to the Japanese fans!

People are pumped about End of Oak Street being an actually good dinosaur movie, but I’d like to tell everyone that PRIMITIVE WAR was really fucking cool and has one of my favorite shots of the decade
The @primitivewarmovieofficial events in Japan were spectacular!
It was great to be able to take up the invitation the distributors asked me months prior and make it reality! From dropping into cinema sessions in secret to surprise the audience to the big fan event, it was a great experience and the fans loved it. The film is doing very well in the cinema release over there - not many Aussie made films get a cinema release in Japan, so we are very grateful!
