John E. Johnson, Jr., Executive Director of the Michigan Department of Civil Rights on the death of Dolores Huerta: “With the passing of Dolores Huerta, our nation has lost one of its most courageous and influential civil rights voices. Her decades of leadership helped to shape national conversations around worker dignity, fair wages, and human rights. Huerta’s legacy calls to each of us to redouble our commitment to building a better nation for everyone.”
