Today in Prince George, BC, I joined @Enbridge and Minister @KahlonRav to break ground on a $4 billion expansion of BC's natural gas infrastructure — a project that will:
✅ Power 1.5 million homes
✅ Add $3B to Canada's GDP
✅ Create 2,500 jobs for British Columbians
✅ Foster Indigenous prosperity — backed by our government's very first Indigenous Loan Guarantee, supporting equity for 38 First Nations
✅ Support Canada's steel sector by building with first-class, 100% Canadian steel from InterPro Pipe + Steel in Saskatchewan
Starting construction on this project is our promise to you, Canada, that we will never compromise our energy security and affordability as we build out exports of the world's lowest-carbon LNG.
And it's us making good on another promise, too: that we can build with speed, with Indigenous Peoples, using Canadian materials and labour, to become an energy superpower.

An important day for the workers in London, Ontario, and GDLS-Canada.
Today’s landmark partnership announcement is a strong vote of confidence in GDLS-Canada and Prime Minister @MarkJCarney’s leadership in strengthening Canada’s defence industry and Canadian supply chains. The benefits will be felt across the country, including by steelworkers at InterPro Pipe + Steel in Regina.
Proud of the entire @MapleLeafStrat team for the work to help make this landmark partnership happen. 🇨🇦

Historic investment in Canada by @Meta
One of the largest private sector investments in Canadian history is coming home to Alberta.
@Meta has chosen Alberta for its first Canadian AI data centre, a historic $13 billion investment that will create thousands of jobs, strengthen our economy, and help position our province as a global leader in artificial intelligence and technology.
This project will support 3,000 construction jobs, 300 permanent positions, generate an estimated $250 million in annual benefits for Albertans, and invest $60 million into local roads, water, and community infrastructure.
Meta is fully funding new generation and grid infrastructure to support the data centre, which will improve reliability across the entire Alberta grid benefiting electricity customers across the province by reducing transmission costs by up to six per cent on Albertans’ utility bills.
We are proud to welcome Meta to and thank them for their confidence in our province, our economy, and most importantly, our people. Alberta has the energy, talent, and ambition to power the next generation of innovation.

A strong domestic vegetable sector is essential to Canada’s food sovereignty and food security. This announcement today by @FP_Champagne is an important and necessary step to address the surge of low-priced imports that has been disrupting the Canadian market and placing significant pressure on domestic growers and processors.
