Take me away with this lush ambient from outer space. What an escape, Kévin. #repost Kévin Loustau

“Sure, it would extend and improve millions of lives, succeeding where decades of other efforts have failed, but this would be bad because people would still be enjoying themselves. We must not forget that the goal is ending pleasure, not ending cancer.”

The Prisoner - A, B and C by Anthony Skene (13th October 1967). The new No 2 (Colin Gordon) attempts to break No 6 by delving into his subconscious.

Unfathomable amounts of people have fallen in love, found beauty in a sunset, were brave, cowardly, loyal, traitors, died fighting senseless wars in the names of tribes and gods that will never be remembered for an amount of time literally incomprehensible
the fuck were they doing

I think the demand for 'hard' fully systematized magic systems, sometimes stems from this sort of failure of imagination to understand that to the ancients, even *physics* was a 'soft' magic system. 16/

Never seen it.
I have never been able to finish watching Goonies and I don’t get the love that movie gets.

Here's the problem with Megalopolis, a movie I have not seen. :D The thesis of Sam Wasson's BRILLIANT book on Coppola, The Path To Paradise, is that Coppola must live in his movie. If he can't, then it doesn't work. youtu.be/B9nTb86csPQ?si=w7VE…

If he had made *A* Megalopolis about his personal struggles with the studios, then maybe he'd have something. But the clips I see...they don't seem like relatable visionary underdogs trying to will something into being. They sound like characters from an Ayn Rand novel.

I should point out, I don't mean an Ayn Rand novel as in her philosophies, I just mean the way she writes characters and the way they express themselves and the category of subjects they opine upon.
