Congratulations @IsmailKasule4 upon the presumption of the Spokesperson role. Your hard fought parliamentary victory was not an accident. It was a result of your engagement with the people long before the election season. It was proof thst people-centred leadership will always stand out. We have no doubt that you will take this same approach in this role. Godspeed.

Hon. @IsmailKasule4, Member of Parliament for Hoima West, has been appointed the new Spokesperson of the Party, effective immediately.
The appointment was confirmed by the Party Secretary General, Hon. Alice Alaso, during the ongoing party press conference in Lunguja.
Hon. Kassiano wadri brings with him a lifetime of service and commitment to the nation thst will no doubt spur the party forward in the right direction.
I also thank @AlasoAsianut for her steadfast leadership. Under her, we got out first MP, and increased our local government footprint and strngthened our party structures.
Change of political leadership should never be an acrimonious undertaking. And the only way for us to achieve this as a nation, is to practice it in our politics: from the grassroots, up. We must develop a culture that puts the country first and the good of our people before personal ambition. @TheAllianceUG is developing that culture, demonstrating that if we choose to, we as a nation can defy the politics of our past and build a Uganda that works for all of us.

The current trend in our politics is quite worrying. Abducting Hon Erias Lukwago, a lawyer in the course of conducting his legal duties of representing a client, torturing & humiliating him is not only a sign of contempt for the rule of law but also for the citizenry, beside being a sign of utter recklessness. Fear and terror as tools of control as you may know work for a while but always have a limit. We do not have to maintain the same direction. History has shown us that this route is untenable and it never ends well. "Change being the only constant" is an immutable law. At this point the buck stops with the President & C-I-C . Parliament and the Judiciary are in no position to act ( UNFORTUNATELY);those who may celebrate that fact may be like young monkeys laughing at a burning forest.. You have to choose which direction the Country takes Mr President. It is never too late. Will you maintain the route all past governments took in spite of the inevitable consequences or a NEW route. If it is to be a new route, I must say, it takes tremendous courage. I hope you Mr President will summon the necessary courage to act as is necessary to do.

Until a critical mass of Ugandans commit to doing the long, arduous and often unseen and thanlless work, the "tangible" will remain elusive. There are no shortcuts to nationbuilding. We either learn this lesson and get to work or continue in the post-independence cycle we are in.
That's the same statements @mugishamuntu kept using; building grassroots now for close to 15yrs with no tangible results...
I'm not sure I understand your submission. Emasculation suggests an inability to perform as intended. The decision to retire from the military was mine. As far as advice goes, I have-by God's grace-been consistent in my position on the major political questions our country faces.

Things are not always as they seem. When holy mass, due to be conducted in a designated place of worship, becomes such a threat as to require the head of state to call the Archbishop and insist on a postponement of prayers, the questions got to be asked, "what are you afraid of"?

There is possibly nothing I stand for that you do not already know. If it was someone else I would try to convince them. I suppose I would be wasting your time if I attempted to convince you to align with the strategy & tactics I employ.
I get a sense that we cannot come to a common understanding on issues of strategy & tactics. We are better off leaving what works and what doesn't to time. We will re-engage after any of the strategies works. In the meantime can we be at peace & only focus on a common adversary.
Gen. @mugishamuntu, I believe that your response, since you use ‘I’ in lieu of ‘we’, is about your family and yourself, not on behalf of a public institution(political party) like ANT which you lead and purposed to transform our country. Of course I believe in your ideology and principles, but the more we delay to act with indescribable alacrity, the more we suffer and the country continues to be plunged into the abyss of imbroglio. For example, count the years that have passed since you parted ways with the system and then measure what has been achieved to catapult him from the power, vis-à-vis what he is also doing to clench his teeth to consolidate the same power for himself and his imbecile son. Gen. @mugishamuntu as a military officer and former army commander, should know better that elections are useless without core electoral reforms. I don’t know why, as intelligent and ideological as he is, and experienced from the past (s)elections, is contesting with a gang of position seekers! To keep your name visible in public or what? I know it’s your right but let us be sincere and leave elective politics without reforms and rule of law for populists. Populists will chant slogans as if a despot is going, and will lie that if they’re rigged they’ll act, then at the end will coil their tails and yap on social media that they’re under house arrest. The arrests help them to escape accountability pursuant to their populist rhetoric prior.

Correct statements can be made by govt and its agencies. That has been the case since independence. The problem is always the conflict between what they say & what they do. That is why we have been caught up in a vicious cycle of mindlessness by those who have run governments.
The UPF should not play the role themselves. Their conduct should be consistent with their public statements. There is nothing that beats leadership by example.
One thing I must fully admit, that you have fully succeeded in doing effectively, is to break down the spirit of our people. They have literary been broken into a characterless mass of backbone less men and women. The good news is that since creation, there are always remnants.
Congratulations to all the delegates at the NRM Delegates Conference for its success. I also want to express my gratitude for enduring sleepless nights to ensure that all party processes were conducted successfully.
I am happy about our large membership, which stands at 20 million including teenagers.
It is important that we do not let bad behaviors, such as bribery and other unethical practices, pollute our NRM.
