With the rise of Bluesky, I've started the migration over there. Come on over if you haven't yet! bsky.app/profile/ndurec.bsky…

After a month on the road, #VWFC returned to BC Place with a statement 4-1 win over San Diego. Post-match report ⤵️ area51sportsnet.com/whitecap…

FT Thoughts: - Big statement win, especially given other Western Conf. matches tonight - Clinical from #VWFC - San Diego defence was a shambles - Even without Cubas, 'Caps midfield still performed - New formation worked - Top 2 in the West guaranteed

90-4' - 🟨🟥 - Elloumi. You CANNOT kick the ball after the whistle like that. #VWFC

83' - GOAL - Valakari flicks on the free kick past Takaoka. #VWFC

76' - GOAL - Caicedo, all alone! He carries it up from the halfway line into the box. GOAL. #VWFC

67' - SUBS - Caicedo and Priso are on. Larraz and Diaby are off. #VWFC

66' - GOAL - Gauld with the diving header! Ocampo crosses in from deep, finds Elloumi. The young striker takes it off the volley, but it's wide. Still finds the captain, who heads it home. #VWFC

#VWFC attendance: 21,718

Mr. Centurion himself. Brian White. #VWFC

HT Thoughts: - Fast-paced match - Good high press from #VWFC, but it does put them in danger at times - Good entry into San Diego's box - Larraz continues to grow - Takaoka had a couple of important early saves - Cvetkovic's first goal; hope it's the first of many

41' - GOAL - White is back on the board! Great ball from Larraz, perfectly weighted and right at the head of White to smash in. #VWFC

Cvetkovic's first for #VWFC

31' - Gauld with the open-ice (open-pitch?) hip check! #VWFC

24' - GOAL - Cvetkovic with his first in #VWFC colours! He redirects Laborda's pass with his left; no one was watching him.

23' - Good work by White to get on that ball. His pass into the box is a step beyond Elloumi.... #VWFC

14' - Big save by Takaoka on Bakambu! He recovers and gets another shot off, which Laborda heads off the line. #VWFC
