Every @NFL Story has a High School Chapter.
From Friday night lights to NFL Sunday, every football journey is shaped by coaches who believe, teach, and inspire. The lessons learned on the high school fields reach far beyond the final whistle.
#AmericanFootballWeek celebrates the coaches who make an impact at every level of the game, from freshman year kickoff to the biggest stage in football.
Because every great football journey has a coach who helped make it possible.

High school playing rules are about more than competition. The NFHS writes rules with three priorities in mind: minimizing risk of injury, promoting sportsmanship and preserving the traditions of each sport.

Since 1982, the NFHS has averaged nearly one rule change a year focused on player protection.
The wins?
-Padded goal posts (1989)
-No horse-collar tackles (2009)
-No blindside blocks (2017)
Better rules. Better football.

High school is where students begin laying the foundation for what comes next.
Every experience - in the classroom, on the field or court, on the stage, and everywhere in between - helps students build confidence, learn how to work with others, overcome challenges, and discover what they’re capable of.
The lessons learned and connections made along the way can help shape a successful adulthood, a fulfilling career, and a life they’re proud of.
Here’s to the experiences that help students build their foundation and prepare for whatever comes next. 👏
