The CDC recently reported that the number of U.S. high school students who currently use #cannabis has reached a historic low, alongside other substances like alcohol and tobacco. Something is missing from this story ⬇️
Among teens in grades 8, 10 & 12, they reported that daily use is unchanged, despite a decline in the total number of users.
But what's really concerning is what happens right after high school: the number of young adults reporting daily use reached a historic high at 11.8%.
I had a wonderful visit at @TempleUniv this week. It was a joy to speak with the trainees and see the next generation of enthusiastic scientists being trained in such a great manner.

Cannabis-related ER visits have more than doubled in New York state since 2016. Youth, in particular, are vulnerable to the effects of new high potency #cannabis products. We need to educate kids on the risks of cannabis use.
