“Build with, not for”. This principle is core to how we design products at Obvious. We involve the people we’re solving for, we invite users to participate in the creation process and we put ourselves in the users’ situation as often as possible.

It was a full house this Saturday at Obvious HQ!
We have nothing against online events, but there’s just something about meeting people IRL. It makes everything so much easier — striking a conversation, learning from each other or even making a friend.
Our massive community space is open and the perfect place to host an event in Central Bangalore! A fireside chat, a meetup, a workshop — if you have an event in the works, write to us at [email protected] to enquire about availability!

Great hands-on workshop @sreshtea at @obvious_in HQ! 👏
Super interactive and actionable.
We found the floor plan back from when we were constructing our office! We planned the office around three principles — Craft (green), Collaboration (blue) and Community (yellow), and it's come together exactly like we imagined!

You don’t need a design system like Spotify’s. Or like Uber’s. You need a design system that works for "your" product. And that starts with auditing your designs to understand which components are used most or where the visual language breaks.

We’re written about how to audit a design system in Obvious University here:

Most teams don’t have the luxury of halting feature delivery to build a design system. Design systems have to be built “on the go”.
At Obvious, we've done that for many clients and have written a step by step guide on building design systems here: university.obvious.in/produc…
Small teams building something from scratch are often in unchartered territory. When that happens, going up to your colleague’s desk to work out a solution helps. And the feeling of being one team, in it together, is priceless.
That’s why we’ve opened up The Residency to teams!
You’ll get a quiet section of the office, a locker to store your things and an ergonomic desk for each member of the team. You build the product and we’ll take care of the office.
If you're a team of 3-10 people, drop a line at [email protected] to book a 7-day trial!
We want to be a workplace that someone would happily dedicate 10 years of their career to. And that requires us to always think about our culture and our ways of working 🤝
But there are some things that have worked for us over the last few years — a practice of giving ongoing feedback, checking in every quarter and a transparent growth framework 📊
We’ve documented all of this in Obvious University. Take a look: university.obvious.in/hiring…
