New research: experts' opinions are unconsciously swayed by AI agents' outputs. One solution is to change what the agent does for you. It should be your librarian or assistant, not your PI. Let it find and fetch papers, and point to the important parts. Then read them yourself. And ask it to argue with you!
Important, but not unexpected, finding that experts working with AI agents are swayed by the positions of the AI, even if they think they are working independently. If your independent judgement matters on a task, you need to be deliberate about when in the process to use AI.

Doctors don’t need another tab to manage. 💡 Tip: You can save multiple citations from an OpenEvidence response at once with the Paperpile extension.

How many tabs do you have open right now? You probably find papers with various tools: search engines like Google Scholar and PubMed, AI discovery tools like Consensus and Google Scholar Labs, and citation networks like ResearchRabbit and Litmaps. Each one adds more tabs and more downloads.

An AI-generated claim isn’t the same as evidence. Even when an AI response includes a citation, you still need to search through the paper to check whether the source actually supports the claim. Paperpile’s AI integration gives you answers with clickable citations that take you straight to the evidence.
