About $1.7B in stables frozen by circle/tether which is a good chunk of affected funds. CZ suggests safu fund can plug the hole
User funds are safe! It does look like a hack on Binance. Appreciate the quick freeze from Tether (~$971m) and Circle (~$823m). I don't manage Binance (.com) anymore, but as a shareholder, I expect all user funds will be fully covered.

ok safe to say binance is pwned The biggest assets were approximately: • 1.615B USDT • 62.6M RLUSD • 29,934 wBETH • 11,372 XAUt • 6.19M UNI • 198.4M ENA • 7.175T PEPE • 27.8M USD1 • 2.26M LINK • 127,853 AAVE about $2.5B at the explorer’s prices. 1. The attacker deployed a delegate contract, 0x63e842b0...73e9c6fAe, from the relayer at 15:59 UTC. 2. About four hours later, the relayer submitted an EIP-7702 authorization transaction That installed the malicious 7702 delegate code on Binance 14. 3. The relayer then made a call to Binance 14, executing the delegate code, and transferring Binance 14’s ETH and token balances. 4. The calldata is labeled sweep(address, address[]). The second argument is a list of recognizable token-contract addresses plus the zero-address (eth). 5. The same relayer later used the same delegate to move 780M USDC from Binance Hot Wallet 34 into the same pool • The relayer 0x7C... was funded by three Tornado Cash 0.1 ETH withdrawals over the prior two days. • The same pool also received 28,005.6 ETH from Binance 16 24 seconds after the main sweep. • The pool then forwarded 195,460 ETH to a fresh, unlabeled EOA • That EOA has only one transaction and currently holds the 195,460 ETH. What's a bit unclear is why the relayer was needed in the first place. If they had the private keys to the Binance wallets, they could have just sent the assets out in an atomic bundle without needing a relayer at all. So it seems likely that they didn't have the private keys and instead just had the 7702 auth signatures, which must have been phished somehow. I think we can go ahead and assume DPRK.

Went through @intrepid_p’s book with my son this week after Marfa. The book has incredible imagery showing the vast amount of sights and terrains Intrepid has seen in his travels. Today my son asked to look at the book again. He is obsessed with the animals. Personally, I think it’s all amazing. What a great collection of photography 👏 👏

Sometimes the memetic universe aligns with reality and we get a meme that perfectly encapsulates a moment in time. Congrats @chrisgranneberg on “Trust Me Bro” being selected into the Memes. Minting Friday! ❤️‍🔥

Since 2014, @Rhizome has awarded small grants to support the creation of new web-based works. This year, we’re partnering on a new category for the 2026 open call: PERMANENCE. Digital work can depend on a surprisingly fragile set of conditions, hence why @Rhizome has spent decades thinking about how digital art is best preserved. Maybe permanence is technical? Maybe permanence is material? Maybe permanence depends on a community continuing to care? Or maybe it is something else entirely? Apply by November 20th at microgrants.rhizome.org Make something built to endure.
⛳️Rhizome microgrants are open! Apply by November 20 for grants between $500- 1500! We invite proposals in the following categories: 🫆PERMANENCE, in partnership with @larvalabs,🛠️MISUSE, ✋HANDMADE & 💬CO-OP. Visit microgrants.rhizome.org for more details + to apply!

wanted: onchain optimists
The real reason crypto feels pessimistic these days is because everyone is getting older and not enough young people are coming to replace them. This should be fixed with more efforts targeting young people jaded by the current world, and trust me, there are many. Give them an outlet to: > program value > build community and meet people from around the world > try creative fundraisers to co-own things with an internet community > push a movement for freedom > be a decentralizing force to centralizing ai > fight for privacy The largest problem remains the boomerification of the industry. It feels less dreamy because of it.

We, 6529, have been accused of running a rather extravagant art gallery. The expense, admittedly, is the civilization we insist on building around it.

This was my first Memecard and one of my first ever NFT purchases. I love it...now one of 300 cards collected with much more 'work' ahead. Batz is a legend. The Law of Infinite Pepes | The Memes by 6529 | Art by @batzdu "This yields the Pepe Singularity Function, suggesting that as cultural input approaches infinity, all meme expressions asymptotically converge to Pepe. This is known informally as Meme Convergence, or The Law of Infinite Pepes."

Post Marfa Thoughts: I don’t think I can put into words how truly remarkable my 2026 Marfa experience was. With that said, in typical Mada fashion, I am certainly going to try. Simply put, it comes down to three key elements: Art, Warmth, & Connectedness. Art: From breathtaking documentaries to VR sculpture masterpieces.. from combining generative art with music to exploring the intersection of time, photography & algorithmic art.. the creativeness and execution witnessed over three days was vast and beyond expectations. I was taken on a journey that encompasses exactly what makes art so special. The expression of so many feelings in so so many unique ways. I don’t mean this hyperbolically, but on many occasions I was so moved with emotions I was brought to tears. Not that I was sad, but rather that I became overwhelmed with so much feeling. I know it sounds bizarre but I felt empathetic towards the art I experienced. Lived experiences expressed through art in a way that felt incredibly personal. Bravo to everyone that presented their work. Thank you thank you thank you. Warmth: In reflecting, the key difference from quite literally any other experience I have had is the warmth and kindness of everyone in attendance. I know it sounds cliche but I can’t help but feel that Marfa has simply become a magnet for the best people in the world. The distance and difficulty of making it is undoubtedly a feature and not a bug. I have not hugged so many people in such a short period of time. Strangers becoming friends in the course of a conversation. The fact that this happened over and over and over is simply not normal. It is a product of the high density of amazing individuals that called Marfa home this past weekend. Openness, acceptance, warmth. Something I discussed with many people and will desperately try and figure out how to replicate. Connectedness: I recognize much of what I described in warmth also applies to connectedness. However, with warmth the emphasis is on new relationships. For connectedness, I want to double down on the relationships I have curated over the last four years. The bonds I have are so strong I truly believe they are unbreakable. A hobby that has transcended into a launchpad of lifelong relationships. I feel so privileged to have somehow made it to this very position. I have found in recent times the quote “I am all alone, but not lonely” has represented my life. However this past weekend, I was most certainly not alone or lonely. Thank you to every friend I embraced, I love you. So here is to another Marfa in the books. It might be over but it will live with me forever! Much Love, Mada

1/ On Squiggle #6529 I would like to explain why we are excited about “buying a Squiggle” While Squiggles are, in fact, sweet, the exciting part is that every part of this process happened in a decentralized manner. 2/ @aRegularDad proposed a Meme Card to fund a Squiggle acquisition. 81 profiles participated in the Main Stage vote and voted with TDH to mint this as a Meme Card The card won. 77 paid editions were minted, providing 2.51 ETH for the acquisition. 3/ @cheesebiz and @bankons helped scout and connected @squiggleDAO . SquiggleDAO suggested trying to acquire Squiggle 6529 The price was 3.01 ETH, so @MadaCollects who had been following the discussion, chipped in another 0.5 ETH to the pool (respect!) 4/ The seller wanted to stay anonymous, preserve the provenance (no intermediary transfers) and keep their vault secure. Ultimately, the seller trusted SquiggleDAO and 6529 network and sent the Squiggle directly to the 6529 Network Museum before receiving payment. 5/ Reminder: What is the 6529 network museum? It is a SAFE vault organized by TDH, owned by the network, a cultural asset, NFTs go in, but ~they do not go out. It is the network-native concept of a national public museum 6/ Finally, one more step to replace the temporary art on the card with something appropriate for the long-term. Well, another TDH vote of course. @ricardotakamura won with THE VAULT, a long-exposure light painting made at Casa NUA in Brazil. 7/ So to recap: - Decentralized network mints a meme card to buy a squiggle - Decentralized network picks which squiggle to buy - Decentralized network updates the art - Decentralized network permanent home for the squiggle 8/ What was my contribution to any step of this project? Nothing at all. I was not involved at all in any way. I had a vague awareness that it was happening, but was not following any of the details, let alone helping. 9/ Now, some of you are thinking “ok, fine, that is cute, the NFT nerds are collecting NFTs again” Maybe. Or maybe collecting NFTs is a generalizable proof of concept, and there is no actual limit to this primitive. We will see soon enough. 10/ Thank you to all who organized, the voters and everyone who minted. Great job by all.
