Harry Derham on Cristal D’Estruval: 🗣️ "He injured his near-hind fetlock at Carlisle, which I'm pretty sure was a result of immaturity as he was only four, but he's fine now. He won both races and the form of his first race with Bossman Jack and Baron Noir is pretty good now. I've always seen him as a chaser and he'll do that now. He’ll be ready to start in early November, although he’s not going to be fully wound up at all. My sense is that eventually he’ll go out in trip but he was fast enough to win over two miles last year so I think I’ll start at that – but it will depend on where the ground is safe. I think he’s a good horse but we just need the wheels to stay on."

Aidan O'Brien ahead of the Breeders' Cup Turf: 🗣️ "We always thought this race was made for Benvenuto Cellini" "He was a bit slow away in the Arc, but still ran a very good race. If you go back and watch that race, it's a lot better than you think. "We've done a good bit with him at the stalls since, so hopefully he gets away and holds a nice position. We've tried to make him quicker and tried to sharpen him up a good bit. "Ryan was hoping he'd get a low draw, whereas I was a little bit worried by that, but Ryan was happy. We think we're going to see a sharper horse."

Harry Derham on Le Frimeur: 🗣️ "He’s unbeaten and to win a Grade 1 on his third ever start at Punchestown was pretty impressive. He did plenty wrong as he was hanging and JJ said it was hard to get him on an even keel, but when he did he galloped away from them. He stayed very, very well and JJ said he wasn’t at the bottom of him, which is obviously a pretty exciting thought. We had a long discussion with Anthony Bromley [racing manager to Simon Munir and Isaac Souede] about whether to stay hurdling or go chasing and we think another year of racing over hurdles won’t do him any harm. He’ll start at Newbury in the Long Distance Hurdle at the end of November and that will tell us where we go – he won’t be drilled fit for Newbury, he’ll just be ready to begin. He was a baby last season and it’s very possible we’ve not seen nearly the best of him, but he has to progress. He's hugely exciting."
