Sup baby. We updated the post with your entire response to our specific question about how much of the laptop would be made in the US, as well as the specific answer that the prototype is only 32 percent at this time. Let us know when you have a final number and we’ll print that, I hope you make it happen
Replying to @verge
This article is full of blatant misinformation. "The components Luckey specified that are planned to be American-made from the start are the display glass, the frame around the display, and parts of the ribbon component." No. That is not what I said. This was a response to a specific question about the display modules in the current prototype vs the final product. As I explicitly said, BlueChip has American chips, batteries, metallics, plastics, glass, etc, and we have a clear technical roadmap to 100% American components. "It sounds like BlueChip’s first laptop will be well below the 65-percent requirement to count as American-made" This is nuts. There is a reason no other reporter has came to this conclusion. One hint might be the extended discussion we had explicitly about the government requirements for American-made hardware and why meeting that bar is so important. "Palmer Luckey is of course a controversial figure, with his history of fueling right wing troll farms" This never happened. You are pushing a lie The Verge has pushed for over a decade now. Yes, you have written a bunch of stories claiming this happened, but it just ain't so. I gave $9,000 to a group that ran a single anti-Clinton billboard. The "right wing troll farms" narrative was a fabricated story pushed shortly before the 2016 election because Dems desperately wanted a right-wing equivalent to the actually-real Correct The Record, an online astroturfing organization that paid people to troll and "correct" Trump supporters online. But there was no such thing. It was all disinformation. Which is why most of the stories about it were later deleted. Yet here you are, lying again.

AI is the most profound technology I’ve seen, both in its ability to help people and to disrupt their lives. I’m optimistic about the good it can do, but we need to take its risks seriously. b-gat.es/4zLk2T3

I love it when these dorks call us the mainstream media
This is exactly why people are abandoning mainstream media: cheap insults instead of actual reporting You don’t have to agree with @DavidSacks on everything, but pretending he “sucks” while ignoring his actual track record is unserious. A few reminders: -Co-founded PayPal, one of the most consequential fintech platforms in history. -Built Yammer, sold to Microsoft for $1.2B -Backed Airbnb, SpaceX, Facebook, Uber, OpenAI, and Palantir in their early days -Hosts All-In, one of the most influential political podcasts -Major philanthropist and consistent supporter of free speech and open debate If the media wants to rebuild trust, maybe start by covering people honestly instead of writing headlines like YouTubers chasing clicks

Yesterday I had the great opportunity to sit down with @reckless and @pierce from @verge to talk Tuneshine and Tariffs Even if the US catches up on manufacturing, we’re in for a drought of hardware innovation in the US over the next few years due to added uncertainty and cost.
