The Dukes missed out in 2024 and are looking for more in the first year under HC Matt Fike (@coachmattfike)!

These are some of the greatest culture builders we have in sports today, what do they look for ?
1. Do kids respect their parents? If they dont respect them, they won’t respect coaches.
2. Do parents hold their kids accountable?
Ultimate WE over ME mentality.

Congrats to Matt Fike on being named the Head Girls Basketball Coach at YHS. Matt has been an assistant the past 4 years at YHS and a head coach for 10 years in Oklahoma. In his time coaching in Oklahoma, he was named an All State & Regional Coach of the Year. #yorkdukes
Quite possibly my favorite day of the school year!☺️ @YmsDukes 8th graders have been working on drafting, writing, and illustrating kids’ books this semester, and they had an opportunity today to share those finished products with YES kindergarteners❤️📖

This morning @YmsDukes is our Main Thing activity. We have people from our community speak with our kids about some of the “main things” Ss should know but probably don’t. Things like starting your own business. Thanks @CoachJRod1 . It’s a great day at #bestMSinNe – at York, NE
YMS 8th graders have been working hard this semester at writing their own kids’ books!📚 And today, they had an awesome opportunity to share those published products with the YES kindergarten students! What a great day😊
