#SKETCH is officially one of my favorite films of #TIFF 2024. It’s about a kid’s horror movie-like monster drawings coming to life. Yeah, right up my alley. I know!
First for the personal — duh, I grew up liking dark and scary things. What I would have given to see a movie like this at that age, one that embraces that kind of passion and creativity. And now, as an adult, I take great pride in sharing the art I love with the little ones in my life, my young cousins and my niece and nephews. It brings me SUCH joy to know I’ll get to share this film with them one day, a film that celebrates the itch to make wonderfully weird art and also encourages one to reprocess qualities and action others might deem “wrong” when they’re not.

Don't know who needs this today -- but you aren't trying to be a filmmaker, you are one. Act accordingly.
While writing a feature, I make approximately 3,000 notes and voice memos that I will never look at/listen to ever again.

My friend, Philip Tarl Denson just put up the Kickstarter for his badass new comic. It’s a twist on classic fairy tales set in a cyberpunk post-apocalyptic world.

Disney CEO Bob Iger, who makes $27 million a year, went to TV to say that writers and actors aren't being realistic with their demands.
When asked why these workers are being unrealistic he says, "I can't, I can't answer that."

As I marinate in tonight's big story, my big takeaway is this:
There are no names in it. No one went on record. They're all saying this privately, they're all thinking it. But they won't put their name on it.
They know they'll be hated. Because they know this is evil and wrong.

We’re in a very unique time right now in the entertainment business but even through all the peaks and valleys in my humble opinion it’s still the most amazing and magical place to work..#Storytellers #Artists #Writers
This is BY FAR the most hyperactive episode we’ve made in years… And I’m very happy about it.
