Canada's economic future must be built by and for Canadians.
Ontario's 2026 Fall Economic Statement, unveiled by @fordnation and @PBethlenfalvy, outlines our plan to protect workers, build critical infrastructure and strengthen Canada's economic and energy sovereignty. 1/8
Our $210B capital plan is delivering for King–Vaughan families.
Highway 413 could save drivers 30 minutes, the Bradford Bypass 35 minutes, and the Yonge North Subway Extension will serve 94,000 daily riders.
Vaughan is also among five municipalities supported through a $3.3B housing initiative. 7/8
From the CEOs or Chairs of OPG, Ontario Energy Board, Hydro One, Toronto Hydro, Enbridge, to the Deputy Minister of Energy — strong women are leading with ambition to keep our economy strong.
It was an honour to host @PoweredXWomen to discuss Ontario's plan to expand nuclear energy, pipelines, and mining — for our sovereignty and for future generations.
Thank you, Tracey Bodnarchuk, and the entire board @PoweredXWomen for coming to Queen’s Park for the first time.
@fordnation and our team was most grateful for the advice as we build big and move with speed to meet the moment.
Special thanks to @Charmomof5, @Andrea_Khanjin, @ninatangri, Jess Dixon, and @LaurieScottPC for leading the way and engaging with the thoughtful leaders behind CPW.
This is a beautiful tribute to a good man with a big heart.
Patrick is tremendously missed by all of us who proudly called him a friend.

It was an honour to welcome Grand Council Treaty #3 to Queen’s Park for a productive discussion with Grand Chief Francis Kavanaugh, Chief Tim Kavanaugh, Chief Dean Councillor, Chief Carl Big George, and @GregRickford.
Ontario recently awarded Treaty #3 multiple clean energy projects in the North West to improve quality of life, jobs, and energy resilience.
Their commitment to future generations reflects a priority we share: partnership that drives results.

Proud to join Minister @GeorgePirieMPP, MP @IqwinderSGaheer, and @APMACanada President @FlavioVolpe1 this morning at Cymat Technologies in Mississauga for the signing of an MOU with KAP Minerals.
This is an exciting step towards building and strengthening made-in-Ontario supply chains, turning Northern Ontario’s #CriticalMinerals into advanced materials for our aerospace, auto, and defence industries, and making Ontario the most competitive and resilient economy in the G7. 🇨🇦
The Council on Foreign Relations was founded as a reaction to American isolationism.
They say history repeats itself.
With the backdrop of ongoing protectionist tariff policy from the U.S., Ontario hosted the Council to discuss our efforts to diversify trade abroad, while we move fast to build at home.
@fordnation and our team proudly profiled our leadership advancing nuclear expansion, mineral permit acceleration, and an all-Canadian pipeline to fully unlock our economic potential.
“It is encouraging to see the Ontario government proposing new pipeline projects such as Northern Shield to bring increased western Canadian oil and gas volumes east to achieve full self-sufficiency.” - Mike Rose, CEO of Tourmaline Oil
The Northern Shield represents the greatest vehicle to build a stronger economy by constructing an all-Canadian pipeline that drives down costs while boosting energy independence.

It was great to visit my friends from the Ahmadiyya community with @MichaelTibollo and @StevenDelDuca.
Our thanks for the impressive tour by the community's young leaders who executed another successful Islamic Heritage Month event, profiling achievements in science, technology, and the humanities.
Ontario is building the roads ahead of schedule and accelerating a major transmission line to the Ring of Fire. This nation-building opportunity has the potential to create 70,000 jobs and add $22 billion to Canada’s GDP.
We welcome the investment as @fordnation led the way, urging Ottawa to match Ontario’s $1 billion investment.
This will further complement Ontario's plan to bring forth another package of reforms to open and build mines faster.

Ontario is cutting nearly 220,000 days in permit processing times to accelerate investment and job creation.
Building on this momentum with @Andrea_Khanjin, we will go even further this fall by streamlining or eliminating more than half of the requirements tied to opening or expanding a mine.
Combined with our plan to modernize local electricity utilities, we're moving with speed to strengthen Canadian sovereignty and build a more competitive economy.
Building Ontario Faster Act (2026) is about less red tape, faster approvals, and a stronger Ontario.
We are cutting red tape and permit processing delays to speed up approvals, fortify our supply chains and create the most competitive economy in the G7.

Bruce Power congratulates Minister @Sflecce on release of the PULSE report. We applaud the commitment to long-term planning and strategic electricity infrastructure investment, and to local reliability, efficient local governance and protections for ratepayers.
While we look at meeting future demand growth with new nuclear generation, investment in transmission and distribution is also critical to ensuring reliability for Ontarians.
Ontario’s electricity grid must keep pace with soaring electricity demand. Ontario's utilities were designed for a different era — last updated in 1998.
The status quo is not working if we want to protect jobs and grow the economy.
Following expert advice, Ontario is future-proofing the electricity grid by leveling up across the board: elevating standards, accelerating approvals, and working together to build and buy more at home.
This is a key pillar in @fordnation’s plan to build the strongest and most competitive economy in the G7.
