Ten years in, @slowpulpband is on the brink of the big time. The Chicago quartet is back with their third album, Melodie, after three years away. Emily Massey and Henry Stoehr talk getting vulnerable, peeing before performances, and ignoring the future. interviewmagazine.com/music/…

Wrote about seeing Turnstile and still feeling the magic, 300SkullsAndCounting breaking containment, and Zachshots' unfairly good tweemo. Plus, a Q&A with Slow Pulp about their new album 'Melodie', fall music, and more. elienis.com/chasing-fridays-…

Mosh pit euphoria, outré screamo, unfairly good tweemo, and a Q&A with some indie-rock workhorses.

Slow Pulp (@slowpulpband) dropped their new album 'Melodie' today. In a new interview with @NME, singer and guitarist Emily Massey shared, “At the core of it, there are a lot of sad or hard things. But we also really love pop melodies and feeling good listening to music. Both things can exist together—complicated emotional processing, but also a song that makes you want to go on a walk and enjoy the day."
