This is f*cking insane. Anthropic engineer: "You're not supposed to prompt Opus 5.5 You're supposed to build a system that prompts itself. At Anthropic, 90% of our engineers have already built these systems" In 30 minutes, she walks through exactly how Anthropic builds agents that remember, fix their own mistakes and get sharper with every run. Better than any $1000-$2000 agent course I've seen. Watch it, then read the article below ↓

Pando is a Git backend which can scale to very large monorepos. We took the hard road of continuing to use Git, which means we could enable Pando with no change to devex. Considering providing this to others, let me know ([email protected]) if you'd be interested.
We built Pando, a new Git backend for our monorepo, to handle more pushes and fetches without changing how our engineers and agents use Git. Pando cut push latency by ~80% and now serves nearly a petabyte of Git data a day. We can grow Git capacity alongside agent usage.

AI needs more than chips. It needs huge amounts of money. Banks are becoming more careful. Some AI companies already face much higher borrowing costs. The money is still there. But lenders now want proof that AI investments can pay for themselves.

New on our Engineering blog: Creating in-house source control. In May, we merged around 2,500 code changes per day. In September, we merged more than 30,000 per day. As a result, we became bottlenecked by developer infrastructure built for human (rather than agent) scale. Here, we share how we built a new version control system—and fully migrated our monorepo from git—in five months: anthropic.com/engineering/re…

AI companies spend billions protecting their technology from competitors. Yet an OpenAI engineer is accused of hiding a microphone in a meeting room to steal information. Even the best cybersecurity cannot fully protect a company from someone working inside it.

European businesses are rapidly expanding their use of AI agents. More than half of the AI use among our EU enterprise and business customers now involves these tools, and the number of small business users has grown 8x across the region. Our latest Economic Research report explores Europe’s shift toward agentic AI—and the opportunity to turn broader adoption into deeper use. openai.com/index/the-eus-nex…

AI is getting very good at maths. Even mathematicians are starting to ask what this means for them. But someone still has to check the work and understand if it really matters. I think the human part will matter more, not less.

AI is changing software. But maybe not in the way many expected. Writing new code is one thing. Maintaining and improving the software companies already depend on is another. Replacing the old may be much harder than building the new.
