So when Trump wrote that check to re-elect Kamala Harris in 2011, I bet he didn’t think she’d cash it in 2024! 😜

Prior to tonight’s game, we held a moment of silence for trailblazing photojournalist Kathy Willens. Over her nearly 45-year career at The Associated Press, she shot more than 90,000 images, including some of the New York Yankees most memorable moments. We send our condolences to Kathy’s families & loved ones 💙

Disappointed with @CBSNews @CBSMornings today when two morning anchors (Gayle and Nate) don't understand and say so on air why image manipulation is such a big deal.

SAY HIS NAME.
❤️‍🩹@u2 singer Bono urged the audience at a concert in Las Vegas to chant Navalny's name because "Putin will never say it." Thank you!

Today marks a watershed moment in driving mainstream awareness and adoption of Content Credentials — Google has joined the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) steering committee.   Google will collaborate with other steering committee members (Adobe, The BBC, Intel Corporation, Microsoft, Publicis Groupe, Sony, and Truepic) to develop the technical standard for Content Credentials while also actively exploring how to incorporate Content Credentials into its own products and services in the future.  “In the critical context of this year’s global elections where the threat of misinformation looms larger than ever, the urgency to increase trust in the digital ecosystem has never been more pressing,” says Dana Rao, EVP, General Counsel, and Chief Trust Officer of Adobe and co-founder of the C2PA.  🤝 The C2PA, within the Linux Foundation, lays out the technical standards for digital provenance while the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI) builds open-source tools based on the C2PA standards. The CAI’s cross-industry community is committed to adopting and advancing the movement to restore trust and transparency online, and we’re thrilled to continue empowering mainstream adoption. 🟡Learn more blog.adobe.com/en/publish/20… 🟡Join the movement contentauthenticity.org/memb…

NEW | “I’m optimistic in the coming years we’ll see the adoption of provenance technology, or what we call Content Credentials…and we’ll have a new kind of media literacy that focuses on context before you share something online.” – Andy Parsons, Sr. Director, Content Authenticity Initiative at Adobe 🟡 A big thanks to our fellow speakers and @TechCrunch Disrupt for having us on the panel, How AI Can Both Accelerate and Slow Down the Disinformation Economy. We're thrilled to continue the conversation! #TCDisrupt2023 xitter.cf/andyparsons/stat…
We had a great conversation with @KyleWiggers about AI as disinformation accelerant and countermeasures like @contentauth and @NewsGuardRating, on stage at Disrupt. Thanks @Sarah_J_Brandt #TCDisrupt2023

The front page of tomorrow's @dailytarheel – I shed many tears while typing up these heart-wrenching text messages sent and received by UNC students yesterday. Our campus was on lockdown for more than three hours. Beyond proud of this cover and the team behind it.

Not understanding @optimum dropping @WTNH in Fairfield County saying the programming is nearly identical to another ABC station we receive; only for them to replace it with a third CBS channel?? And what’s The WAX?

The China balloon voyage was more of an intelligence benefit to the US than China. By waiting until the balloon was over water, Biden maximized the likelihood the payload could be recovered while minimizing risk to Americans. ⁦@IgnatiusPost⁩ washingtonpost.com/opinions/…
