Growing up working on my family’s ranch in Lampasas, I never imagined I’d one day be your Texas Agriculture Commissioner.
Tonight, we made history. For the first time in 40 years, Texans elected a Democrat to this office, and we did it together.
To every Democrat, Republican, and Independent who believed in this campaign, thank you. You proved that when Texans stand together to protect our land, our water, and our communities from the Greedy Few, organized people can beat organized money.

DHS continues their attempt to mangle Big Bend
BREAKING: Federal judge Kathleen Cardone, a Bush appointee, denies DHS request to allow Big Bend border wall construction to resume, citing the irreparable harm suffered if the project is allowed to continue.
DHS requested Judge Cardone lift the injunction, largely putting forth the same arguments that she had already rejected. DHS has indicated intentions to petition the Supreme Court to take this case, but even if they do, the outcome is not a given. The main argument we've used in our case--the Major Questions Doctrine--has been historically favored by conservative justices, some of whom are currently on the court.

This could be 100% faked and it will not matter.
Grifter scum just post nonsense, make their money off of the engagement, and never have to answer for their lies. Voters see the lie but rarely see the follow up facts.
The Community Notes incoming for @nicksortor look really bad and he has likely set himself up for a major libel case.
This is why it’s so important for cities to put actual experts in these negotiations. An ill-equipped city council will accept a bad deal.
